Actually, KTVs here are a hit and miss affair. Prices are going up all the time, the girls are so blinded by the easy money they forget they are there to fulfill only 1 function - their guest have a good time.
They fail to realize if the guests have a good time, they will be tipped more. They're tunnel-visioned, short-sighted and have the audacity to demand without performance.
I have long avoided KTVs. It's not enjoyable any more.
But this is just me. Nobody needs to feel that way. Enjoy yourself boys.

It depends..if you are staying there, you do not need to go to Casa and pick up girls. I normally go to Darling Darling for some nice Vietnamese coffee and food at the roadside..and pick up a con gai di choi for less than USD20..and that is overnight..there are so many beer gardens in Phnom Penh and outskirts..plenty of fishes there..my Khmer and Vietnamese command is pretty fair..so no issues in rork srai tov dek/tim gai di ngu..enjoy your stay bro

Hey..who was the one getting personal about double posting which I did not do..and who is the one posting so many times under Vietnam/Phnom Penh and do not know how to speak Vietnamese or Khmer. I call it as it is based on experience and if the girls do butterfly in Champ Elysees now like you say which I find it hard to believe, business must be really good and all rooms must be full for them to do that. Judging by your written easy guide to Bangkok, Pattaya and Hanoi, you should have known by now that Thai language is similar to Khmer and Vietnamese sounds almost like Cantonese/Mandarin. But you can't speak Khmer or Vietnamese despite all the posts in Vietnam/Phnom Penh plus your experience in the places above. Mutant Chicken can get special prices not only by his local knowledge of the places but the fact that he can speak Vietnamese as well. Just like you were to go to a local karaoke where most of the GROs are local Cambodians. If you can't speak language, do not go, simple as that. Stick to the foreign owned places and you need not waste your money.

Let me go back a bit on history. There is a Vietnamese coffee shop known by locals near Oreussey Market called Cafe Darling or Darling Darling with a karaoke opened long before Naga Darling Darling was opened. I suppose Naemlo does not know until now despite posting like he knows a lot of stuff in Phnom Penh. Even Faidenk is more low profile than him and is polite in the way he talks or carries himself. As for Vietnamese girls to pick up, there is a street near Oreussey Market which sells a lot of Vietnamese food. Asked any local and they can bring you there. If not, go to Little Saigon in Chbar Ampov and plenty of Vietnamese are staying there. Girls are available from USD5 for ST to USD20 for LT..
But then again, if you are coming from HCMC to Phnom Penh, I do not think Cambodian girls are your cup of tea..unless you like dark skin. If you go to local karaokes, who do you plan to go with??? A local person or by yourself?? Here, the local karaokes has a lot of girls whom I can say are from rural areas or used to work in garment factories and their command of English is limited or none. So do you want to go to these local karaokes and end up complaining like Naemlo??? I have been to local karaokes and the girls never butterfly but if they butterfly on him..it is due to he can't speak a word of Khmer or even sing a Khmer song..so asking them to sit a few hours without speaking is a bore and I do not you to go through this experience..
If you want to have to fun and know some local girls who speaks good English, there are many pubs along the riverside. I also used to like to go to Cathouse for pool and there are some friendly girls there who speaks good English. But then, do you like dark skinned girls?
Where do I learn my local languages? Let me put it simply, phut mak is friend..i have never heard of baa baa boor boor in khmer unless you can spell it properly or write in actual khmer unless they refer to father/mother but that should be bpook or mdai..bpra can be use, saat could be pretty and dek when all people here spell as dayk means sleep..If you want to check your spelling bro..there is a practical cambodian dictionary by David Smyth..look for it..that is all I can advice
