Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Yup, I'll be happy if Liverpool manages to somehow keep a clean sheet at full time! FC Gomel wasting chances for fun, especially their number 9 striker..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
So Liverpool won the first leg 1-0 against FC Gomel.
Really glad Liverpool was able to keep a clean sheet against especially when Gomel had so many chances to score! Well I guess sometimes you need luck to win a match, and certainly we did not have such luck last season. To be honest it was a poor overall performance from Liverpool, not sure if the quality of the pitch affected the passing game. I'll take a 1-0 away lead into a home tie anytime |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
only able to watch the 1st half, generally we were poor and lucky not to concede before the break..
we were playing like last season, except tat our defense last nite was sloppy. we were passing the ball around but without too much of real penetration. hope it's becos it's still early and BR has not yet able to make the team play the way he wants.. anyway, glad to get the win and some positives out of the game, like the return of lucas, a clean sheet, a goal from downing will do his confident great help, some action from sterling..

very sad to see the lad not given a proper chance. Thought he could have really been an asset to the team. some good news though, Joe Allen should be a Liverpool player by next week! expected to be for 12.5 million |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Very sad Aquilani left us. Disappointing how we treat him like dirt, to be shifted around. Sigh. He is a decent player. Should have moved Charlie Adam.

its ok, Adam should be gone to Fulham by 30th August. Allen's arrival in the next few days is a sign of the end for Adam too with the owners apparently desperate to make some money on transfers. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Nothing new with this new team. Same old catch up game like last sesaon!I dont think we have any fund to buy any player! The new season is coming soon asd i dont see any concrete pursue of new players.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I really think the squad lacks depth in attacking options.
We were really lucky to survive the Gomel match with Carroll, Suarez and Bellamy. I think it is quite unlikely that we'll buy many more players. Maybe Brendan Rodgers should give the younger players more playing time? Sterling, Pacheco, Suso and Eccleston to name a few. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
dun need to buy many...... Joe Allen & Clint Dempsey are rumoured to be on the way here..... with them coming in I think we just need one more central defender should be enough.

I reckon we need to strengthen our attacking options more. |

We will never know why AA was shunned like the plague but happy for him and us that the saga is finally over. Good luck lad.
