Seen too many PRC??
U seen it cos the surrounding circle of your friend and the type of PRC girl they had married.
U read in WanBao cos they are only reporting the 'Bad Apple', have you ever seen WanBao reporting Sg Man & PRC girl happily married?
I guess you are just a Frog living in a Well.
TS is old enough to get married, I guess he should be old to think whether this girl is right for him.
No point for him to declared something which may not be true. He just have to declared what he believe to be true.
I get their points bro, You are right, it the circle of frds but still, I'm here just to let our TS to ensure before commit it....hope he get our points of study...the PRO and CONS
Cant comment mean there is certain of percetage of what I said is true.
Earning a decent living and helping ppl is good, creating unneccessary complication/confusion to 'squeeze' money is a definate no no here.
Hope you get what I mean.
I do get what you mean bro, come here make confusion squeese $$ /create unneccessary are a nono task to me, but it to create awareness for our fellow samsters as singaporean to play safe....no proof don believe. Everything need evidence, just like singapore laws.

Ok we shall let the matter RIP here, let TS decide what to declared in the Form cos only he have seen the girl and know her background.
No point asking for proof cos as u know everything can be fake there.
U & yr bro it's past liao.how long ago liao?...u ask those who apply now and then.....
ahpaul25............ does your "now" means after 19th Dec 07, 12.33am when you announce to SBF in your reply to mercuryking that min. $3.5k is needed to apply PR as ICA has just changed their requirement from SGD$2.5k to SGD$3.5k due to Singapore is expanding it FINANCE plan??????????
I have a question with regards to marrying a foreigner. My girlfriend is from PRC. She had a customary marriage before but has been divorced from her ex husband since. When applying for a visa/social vist pass for her, do i indicate her martial status as single or divorce in the Form 14. Also, what documents should i show to the ICA as proof of her marital status. She does not have an official divorce certificate as her marriage is only customary. Would a certification by the Civil Registry Office be sufficient? Really appreciate any advice on this.
From your account, customary marriage are considered "husband and wife" in the eyes of their relative and in-laws only etc, not unless they obtained the marriage certificate from Marriage Registration Administrative Office (Urban areas) or the Civil Affairs Department. If they have not registered their marriage from any of these 2 agency, they are not considered legally married, and need not go thru' divorce proceedings. Btw, has your gerfrd gotten out of this mess already??
Furthermore if your gerfrd can produce the Notary Certificate of Single Status (无配偶声明书公证), then she's still a single, and can marry with anyone in this world. If both of you wish to marry in singapore, why the hell ICA want her marital status certificate?? ROM should be the one asking for her before allocating a date mah. If my above checklist is found "satis", then annotate single in the LTSVP form when you obtain your marriage cert in singapore loh.

This one the ger know best lah, she can lie thru' her teeth to get her LTSVP, but not during the strict filtration of SPR vetting if she conceal her marital status from them.

Nope, absolutely not if you have the proper and original divorce document from marriage registration authority.

Bro Ryanlim you earning 2.5k or 3.5k and successfully applied PR for your foreign wife?(if you married)
Bro Sha_Gua75 said his brother applied sucessfully with salary below 3k but maybe he can let us know how much below 3k? got 2.5k?
The last time I follow this thread, no one can confirm if there is a min salary requirement, but for sure CPF and employed is a must cuz ica scare something or so.
Bro Norikasan55, if you take some time reading somewhere dtd July onwards 2006, I have mentioned my in long and boring account b4, the annual income of the sponsor, in this case the "husband" do play a part in the approving process of the SPR, but this is not everything ICA is looking for. If I told you my missus obtained her SPR when my annual income at that time is only 26K, will you bang balls if your annual is much higher then me?? But I have tried thrice w/o engaging the help of MP, will this make you feeling any better, or sympathize me? My point is this, ICA view each and every application seriously, with minimum flaw involved, no sign of "fake marriage", the sponsor's past academic and working performance, annual income, CPF contribution, Income Tax contribution, any national awards or any glassroots activity involvement, the wife's educational level, wife's independency, and many more.
I have read thru' last mths post today, I have noticed the length of the SPR or citizenship waiting process is much longer than the past, you can notice the huge volume of applications flowing in to ICA, so this will prolong one's waiting time also. I can tell you, that do not rush things, everyone's got their frustration in getting this stupid piece of blue ID or red ID one. Hope this help lah.

Ah Paul arh Ah Paul, ID cards and residence certificates don't show anything about their marital status lah, it's the singleness certificates that ROM is interested about. Why? You kana played out by PRCs recently mah? I tot you gg to house some of them in River Valley areas?

My wife neither work in SG or China, so she never file at all.
For your senario, I am quite sure she only have to file at the country she work and no need to file both country.
I got questions for those whose foreigner wife already get sg PR.
1. She is not working in sg but work back in her own country.
2. She is working in sg but not working back in her own country.
3. She is working in both country.
For the above scenario, will she need to file income tax for both Thailand and Sg or just one of the country?
Depending whether she is a tax resident on which country.
For example, if she stay in S'pore for more than 180 days a year..she will filed income tax as tax resident here.
Despite her earned income in both country.
