You really sympathise with them huh? If you understand their culture more, you will have a view that's otherwise. A baby gal is always sold at a higher price as its believed that they will help earn money for the family when they grow up. Do you happen to know that the children hookers in Cambodia are mostly from Vietnam? These young gals are sold to the brothels at a very young age.... its really sad to see that. Do you know that remittences into Vietnam is one of the highest in the world at US$9 billion annually? I used to think Phillipines is high at US$3 billion, then i got to know about Vietnam, i was shocked. Basically the whole country is doing nothing but waiting for remittance from abroad. Like i say before, i used to be very curious about vietnamese culture during my first few years there, then the next few years brings immunity and finally, now after 10 years, i am sick and tired of them. They really need to buck up or else they can never catch up with the rest of the world.
Totally agreed! Quite a large number of vietnamese are working as prositutues in Cambodia especially those areas near to the borders. Many of them started working there very young and are mostly brought there by their relatives! They need to change their mindset but it is very very difficult as they have been structured into this thinking and this way of life since birth.

Cambodia is also 3rd world, don't think can earn much there.
Just reminded me of my dad...he went to HCM in the 60s to the end of the war and he had a mistress there too with 5 young daughters. After war...he came back and tried his best to bring them over but since he has lost everything there after the war, he ran out of bargaining power. He has passed away since and he doesn't talk about them to us but I can feel his heavy heart till the moment he passed on. He died in my arm so I know...and he told me that "they" were sent to Cambodia after they caught him after the war and sent prison him to end of 1974.
Hmm... reminded me of many things ... sad but nice true story to share .

Thx Bro for your support, of course i together with her not because of sex. But by my heart, if she is not a WL. I think probably perfect girl to me, after seeing her arguging with her mom to follow me to singapore make me feel she is true to me.
just like to check how much SGD allowance is enough to sustain a family pop of 2 in Vietnam.
allowance to cover :
a population of 1 mother and 1 younger brother
1.eating expenses
2.house rental include utilities aka PUB (SGD$500 enough?)
3.education of younger brother college studies (i think he's 19yr old)
4.Tution Fees
just want to know if they are requesting for $1000 per month is it reasonable?

Cambodia is a new economy. Businesses setting up every other day and investment pouring in every single second. Casinos everywhere. Riches everywhere. Also taking into consideration these factors:
1. Cambodia is only beside Vietnam. Its much easier to work in Cambodia than in Singapore. Custom money-minded. You can choose to go by bus, boat and/or plane.
2. Every market got its niche. Especially true when referring to a chio wl.
3. Cambodia is a SUPERPOWER for sex trade internationally. Horny goats from all around the world come to this country to explore wl from all over the world.

At least to those that I'm concerned. But in my own personal view, remittance percentage doesn't represent the behavior of the people culturally. There's group whom are ex-refugees whom had been converted to other nationals but still in touch with their families back in there. Some are FTs working in places like Korea and Japan who send monies back not only to families, but to their own account for safekeeping.
