Good to hear from you! Was only in SHA for 1 night (was in transit from Sichuan) - had a client dinner at the Grand Hyatt following which we went to 97 for drinks. was in shanghai for 2 days and i tried massage at 2 different places along the same road.

Roman Bath-
along macau road, this is a huge establishment (some 7 storeys i think), posh, classy, clean and top service. you get to soak in the hot pool, afterwhich you can get a scrub by the therapists, change and proceed to the room for massage. they have different menus for massage. you can, if you wish, rest and relax before you do the massage. i was told you are entitled to stay in the room for up to 12 hours! anyway i took the more expensive item and its one of the nicest massage room i have ever seen. actually the whole place is very nice. the lady masseur is VERY pretty, only 19 yrs old, slim and nice features. she comes from sichuan and speaks very well. unfortunately no special service provided (at least from this gal).claims she is going for a TV audition. havent seen the rest of the gals, but going by this gal's standard, come be quite far off.

for bros who might want a place to relax, have a gd massage, or even discuss business, this is quite a gd place.

The nearest HC joint to where u r staying at that offers 'full course' is located along Ding Xi Rd jnction on Yan Ping Rd. Name of joint called "Shi Jia Bao"..read my earlier postings or threads on it...total damage is RMB 650 nett.
There's also a "88 Hong Kong Cafe" next 2 your hotel that offers good meals, economical...ood supper. Try it!

For SJB, it seems like they serve only regulars? The last time I went, they claimed to have no "special" massage. And it is only after making some noise that the attendant said he new and have to check again. And of course they do.

Anyway facility at SJB as mentioned earlier i believe is much better than the Xin Huai Hai. And heard from a friend that these are the top 2 saunas around. (not for facilities..)

A bit long-winded, but detail.

After multiple disappointment in SHA, decide to check out this recent recommendation. Verdict : 8/10!

Here's the FR:

Firstly, can't really see the place as it's thru a gate with another 10m walk. However, it seemed that most cab drivers will know. It's near a convenience store.

The decor's pretty modern. Walk across the "bridge" and you're in the locker. Took a shower and went to the hot pool. As mentioned, water is murky, and that's because SHA don't have clean water you can drink from the tap like SGP. Anyway, hot pool, steam room and sauna quite SOP so nothing to shout about.

Dressed up and went up to 2nd level. Got a shock at first because was led to a room with glass windows, 2 recliners and a TV. Later found out that this is just the resting lounge! There are other similar rooms which are bigger and with more recliners. Pretty neat! Took our time in the room and once we're ready we called the attendant to bring us to our rooms.

So, the attendant bring us across the place and down another side to 1st level. The girl is already waiting in the room. Apparently, you can as for another girl if you're not satisfied. The room has frosted window and a transparent one on the door! However, each room is in their own aisle so problem not big.
