Re: In the news again...
Dear sammyboyfor boss
Here are my observations : 1. The SPF officer, INSP Ryan Yue Rui Sheng, who contacted you to delete an objectionable post was professional, fair and objective. He just demanded a post to be removed and not after the whole forum. This was equivalent to SG arrested Michael Fay for vendalism and punished him accordingly and leave the rest of US expats in SG alone. SPF position in 2013 should not have flip-flopped so soon. Here is another analogy, pls go after the guy who posted an advertisement illegal on HDB notice board, don't remove the notice board. This is not H1N1 which the whole poultry community is culled. 2. TNP is wanbao (晚報) in disguise by writing in ang moh and selling during lunch time. That TNP reporter who contacted you didn't appear to be SPH staff but an agent or contractor who went undercover to "obtain" news for big companies, as big media companies are not "convenient" to probe "grey" area. So, if there is any fault, it is the contractor, just like the recent smear marketing saga by StarHub's contractor. The blame was on the contractor. 4. If SBF is closed, where should we obtain GL information from ? From overseas ? From pub ? Isn't it the same as rather than the student learn sex matters from internet or friend, MOE stepped in to teach them in school. Not every cheongster here is rich or outgoing to frequent pub to find info. SBF levels the "playing field". Besides, SBF is a typical forum that re-balances the bargaining power from service provider to consumer, just like HWZ, sgcarmart, etc. Without SBF, samsters will have to rely on OKT or the one with knowledge (in property and insurance sectors, they're called agent who charge handsome fee) to choose WL. The current policy is against "agent". Can you imagine we spend $150 only to kena a "Care-ren" ? Not all of us are rich and can afford to "treat it as a learning curve" for our only monthly outing. A satisfying customer is better than an angry customer. 5. Actually, garment wasn't against SBF per se judging from the parliamentary exchanges between Mr Wong Kan Seng (Minister for Home Affairs) and ooposition MP Mr J. B. Jeyaretnam, in 1999. Minister defended pragmatic policy towards prostitution. However, now is a new generation of ministers at helm. So, hopefully the same perspective could be accorded to SBF. 6. Samsters should not blame ICA for FL presence in our shore. Whether ICA "pang chance" or not, whether they wayang in the raid or not, I would rather ICA, SPF and AV "pang chance". Can you imagine ICA catch every traveller on GST quota, chewing gum, etc ? And every airline catch us on luggage weight limit ? 7. Don't blame SMRT, garment, minister, scholars on the MRT breakdown. The timing was unfortunate and it coincided with SBF news. Let the investigators do their job. Do we blame SBF boss, garment, minster, scholars when someone post under-age material in SBF ? Do we blame SBF boss, garment, minster, scholars for allowing SBF to exist ? 8. There are good and bad sections in SBF. TNP and stakeholders should be balance and holistic in their observation about SBF. Read how Sticky and members (like Dr Tan) help samsters in Sexual Health Issues, Matters of the Heart, who otherwise are clueless and nobody to turn to. Some samster also pai sei or unwilling to seek help unless anonymously. Which avenue could they seek help on "grey" area ? Meet MP session ? The above also for those who "happen" to monitor this forum as part of their job. |

1. That letter was shown by Sammyboy to show he cooperates with police. At no time did spf in letter say sbf close down or sbf must change. 2. Reporter of cos sph staff la. So obvious! You think he's independent contractor? Or PI? He's doing his job. He's nt digging around for fun. He's asking so he can write his article Since when inconvenient for them to probe grey areas?? 4. Even if sbf is t bible of prostitution, t gov want to block it, they will. You cannot get yr info, they don't care. 5. Debate is over prostitution not sbf. 6. of cos ica plays a big part in so many whores coming in. N they deliberately let t women nt whores cm in ok 7. Of cos blame t whole lot. If not who's responsible??? They tock cock so much last time, now got problem again, its no ones fault? 8. Since when tnp's guiding ethos is balance? Is lkys life n death balanced reporting? Do you think they'll start now??

Re: In the news again...
Bro sammyboy, I seldom post anything because I'm a quiet person but I want to say that I feel very sorry for u..
Now is not the time to be hot headed.. Just some advice : the stupid paper is just a retarded gossip paper.. They look for such things to increase their paper sales.. When they find something more interesting, the attention will go away Check with the police on the measures to implement and see their replies.. No crime is being committed and no matter what the retarded paper says as long as police say all clear no need worry I can personally say that your site has helped me and a lot of bros to find some outlet of release.. Probably divorce rate going to climb if ur site closes down |

Re: In the news again...
I look into the FLs future. Assume she is PRC and PR then her future is screw in this country. Probably she is charged in the court of law, then ICA will take back her PR.
Her hubby who might be local will have no face to face his relatives. A PR colleague told me there is a reason (not sure of others), where ICA will take back a PR IC. A PR commits crime such as the above one, her PR will be taken back and she have to return home. Plus she can forget about re applying. |

Re: In the news again...
Just my 2 cents worth, I believe there is no need to overreact right now. Because if this site had already infringed on any laws and regulations of Singapore, well, I wouldn't be able to type this anymore.
As such, unless a new law is passed, this forum is still safe. It is just that the general public are now aware of it (which may or may not generate larger traffic). So I believe there is no need to do anything till further news. |

Re: In the news again...
Excellent analysis ! Boss Sam
"The explosive growth in the population has resulted in a huge surge in demand for prostitutes amongst the male population. However the traditional red light districts have been reduced instead being expanded to match demand. Whores have therefore spilled into the heartlands and beyond causing social problems which are not being dealt with in a satisfactory manner" Prostitution is rampant in many countries which made it illegal, don't have to look too far to see proof of that, not only that, the sex workers in those countries are often at the mercy of ruthless criminals and the girls are unable to turn to the police for help. I am afraid that many senior positions in the government are being taken over by right wing religious holier-than-thou moralists. The red-light areas should have at least doubled in size to cope with the increased number of tourists and new citizens. Sg should formally allow hookers from from South America and Europe in on 1 month fuck-passes. Women from a certain Mediterranean country may find it helpful to earn Sg Dollars to help their country in this time of great need and we can certainly help. Only stupid aunties will think that their children are in danger from the Johns. In fact, men who visit hookers are the least likely people to rape or look for children to abuse. Paedophiles don't get their kick from screwing adult women duh ! That is why they are paedophiles ! |
