In Malaysia..... whatever land you own is only "leased" from the Bumiputras and they have the right to reclaim it with due compensation..... which is often peanuts and only a small percentage of the actual value.

Cannot say like that. I am sure when your grandparents came to Bolehland they just grab the land that they live on so actually they got a good deal that Mahathir compensated them. Many of the bumiputras would rather not pay if they could as most of them feel the land rightfully belongs to them.
