Fuck. I forgot. I'm still in office. My mind told me I needed to leave at 6pm sharp but I didn't. Packing up quick, I made a dash out of office and drove down to J8.

And life throws you lemon when you're already full of lemonade. PIE has a massive jam. Some fucker hit a motorbike and closed off 3 lanes. JUST GREAT.

7.50pm, finally cleared the fucking jam, zoomed down to J8 and I reached about 8.10pm. Parked and walked over to CB&TL.

Honestly, I forgot how Bernice looked like already. I had to take out my cell and call her, see whose phone rang and identify her as Bernice.

In the far corner, table for 4, I saw movement. A lady hurriedly picked up her phone and started looking towards the entrance of the cafe. Ah! Silly me, her ERA lanyard was a giveaway, how hard was it for me to not realise it?

Meticulous as I usually was, probably due to being exhausted from work, didn't notice her lanyard.

Bernice stood up, clean white tee-shirt and a long slim jeans with her hair kiaped by a clip behind her neck.

Usually it's a gentleman that stands up while his partner arrives to get seated, Bernice is doing it to me now, feels awkward.

Bernice extended her hand towards me. She didn't look malnourished, but her hands look tired, probably housework and aged. I simply shook her hand.

This joke is getting stale... but no, I wasn't keen for 'tea, or me' today. I just nodded my head.

Fiddled with my phone and soon Bernice came back. For the first time I saw her up close and noticed her looks was some what motherly, big eyes. The impression she gave me was she's a homemaker doing this part time.

She came back with 2 tall cups.
