I'm using a DELL now & sure it hangs once in while...
I found out enetually that it is actually the OS that plays a part in this issue not so much on the brand.

I was told the best WINDOWS OS so far is still WIN 98 (Generation 2)...the bloody XP Pro OS I'm using now is like u said here hang pretty often....sigh....

This thread is primarily for "off topics" that does not relate to Cheonging, unlike the Shanghai recommendation thread... and I merely started it to ease bros having to go through 200+ pages or having to ask "silly" questions in the main thread. Also, since I've "retired" from the main thread, I was thinking perhaps I can still contribute to the Shanghai community in whatever little way I can, which by the way is very little... hahahah.. and that's a fact!

To ease my burden, that is why I chose IBM. I bought it at Sim Lim, cheaper that advertised price.
In the end, my friend notebook crashed, hope it would not happen to yours.

No body is a big bro here unless our largely adored Big Bro PTR really 'step away' from the scenes here as mentioned...in terms of seniority in both age & life experiences, I'm still a far cry from alot of u, including u bro!

We all have alot to share & learn from one another bro. Just like the time when I'm down & depressed, u will tere to share all your life experiences with me, consoling me in many ways to perspectives in life....really thankful to u for being there bro!

Having said leading a daily routine life now, is merely a statement to say that I've been lying low, spending most of my time at work, even in Sats, and last but not least spending most of my daily routine after work with my Empress.
Kinda like the life style now, simple yet peaceful...

Yes, the 'occasional' catch up with the rest of the bros recently have been pretty frequent though...mainly with the joining in of new bros here like Bro cateyes001, WakkO & the rest. But also, afew occasions I didn't join them eventually because of either work or personal reasons.

Let's us both catch up sometime after work to your time convenience for dinner perhaps bro. My new job work place is very nearby to your house (on Fuxing Rd, FengYang Rd junction) so I can meet u up after work simply by walking over to meet u.

Don't quite agree with you lah. Many people came to China for various reasons, as for my case, I just live here and leading to similar life as I was in SGP, especially after picking some sports lately. So a very normal local life but not yet localised.

However, I agreed with what you have said on notebook, that was why I rather spent another equivalent amt of 22 bottles of Chivas for my notebook.

I don't give people tall hats.. I don't.. you should know better than that.. I'm a simple person.. a very basic "organism".. I don't say what I don't mean and delivers what I have said.. or I won't say anything at all....

And since I don't cheong.. there is no need for me to curry favors.. which reinforces the fact that I don't need to give other tall hats.. right?? And I am nothing when we're comparing experience in China. I don't have "farms" or even "cows" in a long long time, I don't have an "Empress" waiting for me at home, I don't have a great job and I don't cheong much.. to me.. As for the computer thingy, I'm no expert.. never was one and never will be.. I just happen to like such techy stuff.. just know that when purchacing from overseas, make sure that the original receipt is present and the warranty is international... otherwise, authorized repair centers will not process it... will have to resort to the so-called grey markets.. those un-authorized repair outfits...
