Nevermind we easily found another accomodation at the Central hotel nearby. Initially they were also wary of us until we explained we are NOT from china and showed our special pass from the airport. Guess that helped as after reading the pass they accepted our booking.
Please update on your stay, any discrimination by bars, restaurants, etc

Philippine Red Cross, unlike Singapore, is run like a private business of the Senator Dick Gordon. Even ambulances and fire engines have the picture of the Senator painted. And unlike Singapore, Philippine Red cross does lot of duplicate work like Fire, Ambulance and all. And guess what. Get blood in Philippines - it is NOT FREE. 1000P per unit, for processing. And the powerful senator even bought a Ship for Red Cross, a ship that was too expensive to operate by the Alaskan government.

And the thing costs a bomb, to maintain. They are fxxking rich man. They don't need money - except for their own pockets

lot of the collection is actually for the private churches, INC and all. Normal talk - we are collecting money for Philippine Children. And then they get a bit mad if you ask if they have permit to collect donation.. Those rich churches, who have A330 Airbus private jets, Cessna Citation Jets and all for the pastors...

Agreed. Encountered 1 at TPY central a month ago. Seemingly charities for children. Had to do a double take and asked her to repeat the name of the organization. Church of Santa Cruz something... WTF. Lol

Many years ago our school children had to sacrifice their saturdays to go out and participate in similar fundraisers until the government put a stop to it.

Now these foreigners have taken over and it's damn irritating to be accosted every weekend by these fundraisers.

No stamp on the passports. In fact the immigration kept their passports and told them to collect back when they checkin for their return flight. Then they were allowed to freely roam the airport vicinity and told not to cross the bridge into Cebu. That's how they ended up in Mactan Casino which was on the same road while they were taking a stroll along the airport fencing perimeter.

Looking back.... they certainly would have applied for the special pass if they had been informed or known about it.

Re: NEW ANGELES CITY (Pampanga, Balibago, Subic) PI

I'm in Angeles now and will be here for a month.

I arrived a few days ago and i've been taking it easy just having drinks and relaxing. I'm staying at one of the Kandi towers this trip and it's business as usual around here. I don't see many people wearing face masks or being ultra paranoid. Lots of Koreans still.

So far I haven't taken a single girl yet because i'm taking it slow and seeing how things around town first. Everything appears normal so far...

I planned this trip to Angeles many months in advance (before the virus) and I most likely would not have come here if I knew about this in advance. I don't feel good about things like this and Angeles is not a safe place if the virus were to spread here.

In fact Angeles is a prime vector for a virus outbreak since you have lots of foreigners in close proximity and girls who "facilitate" transmission.

Anyways, i'll be going on my usual marathon soon and i'll report on specific bars. If anyone wants to request a place for me to check out let me know and i'll do my best to scout it out when I have time.

Way before I planned this trip I was already thinking this may or may not be the last time I come to Angeles depending on my experiences this trip.

Honestly, I feel Angeles may be getting close to being obsolete when compared to other destinations. It isn't yet..but it is a feeling I have had about this place since i've started coming here. Like it is on the brink of being obsolete. Quality is lacking and price is not that good.

We shall see...

Would it be offensive if I were to put condoms in the collection plate next time because the Philippines needs it.

The massive corruption of elites, the ingrained colonial hierarchy, and culture of "patronage" in Philippines means it will always be this way forever.

It won't change just like how latin america will never change because spanish colonialism and the catholic church has really fucked them up forever.

It will take some cataclysmic event like another world war in which the Philippines is devastated again and maybe the social clock can then be reset.

However, it is likely even in the resurrection after the post apocalypse that the Phillippines will still just flash 12:00 again and again as dysfunctional as it was before.

The Filipinos who feel cynical and are smart enough to leave and assimilate elsewhere are correct in their mindset. I once encountered a pinay immigration officer who thought I was a balikbayan and was quizzing me on how to gain foreign citizenship. I told her I was born abroad she looked so disappointed.

Spanish colonialism was really good at enslaving people forever in various ways even when they gained "independence" they are still slaves to the system itself.

You should ask her to come to your room for a discussion instead of telling her upfront, maybe not pretty enough.

You on special pass to enter Angeles ?

I find that girls in the bar cannot make it in terms of looks and body shape, but english language is the thing that many people keep coming back

For me,, mostly in casino filippino in the evenings to have eye candy as those girls who accompany their men to gamble are real pinoy beauties when in Angeles and then hop to the bars after 11 pm to have a drink or two.

So why dun you ask your government to put a stop to these activities again? Or is it your government only knows to bully the locals but dare not offend the foreign talents?

I'm still feeling lazy hehe. Don't know why it's taking me so long to get motivated to go outside hunting these days.

Maybe libido is going down with age.

Definitely going out tonight though.
