We passed through Danok on our way back from our Krabi trip. Actually we planned to break our journey and stay one night in Danok before the long bus trip home. We de-bussed at Danok outside Oscar hotel and took a stroll around the town. We had always stopover for an overnight stay here in Danok on our road trips previously. Somehow the atmosphere was somewhat different this trip and the vibes we felt were not good. During our stroll everywhere we went there were always eyes staring at us intently. Made us feel like we are not welcomed there unlike the previous occasions.

The farms aka ktvs inside the side lanes were quiet and had few girls. Strangely the OKTs did not invite us into their ktvs to view the stocks and we actually had to ask for permission to enter their shops. The enthusiasm of previous years was gone and they had a tidak apa attitude. They quote one price and tell you accept it or go. One new rule which surprised us was the OKTs wanted to know our hotel before letting us take their girls. They claimed that their girls can only go to certain hotels. They show a list of "their" hotels. If you happen to stay in another hotel not on their list then you have to go to another OKT which has your particular hotel under his list.

As it was still early afternoon during our stroll, the clubs were not opened yet so we had no chance to look see. Compared to our previous trips there, Danok was very less people this time. Even the vendors and m/cycle touts were very less and hardly noticeable. Although the town is considerably less people around but somehow the "feel" is a bit weird and like there's tension in the atmosphere. Don't really know how to describe the weird feeling. The closest I can think of is like you are watching a cup final match between Man Utd vs Liverpool and the match is at the penalty shootout stage.. that similar kind of "feeling".

As we did not like the vibes so we decided to adjourn to Hatyai for our sleepover instead. Btw the van service to Hatyai in front of the 7-11 has increased to 80b per head instead of 55b. We did not know about the situation there until I read this thread yesterday.

Used to go to Jaguar and M Club with my friends
But reading the news here so far, I'm not sure I should still go.

At the same time, is there any new club with SYT? M Club is the newest one i know
