Yes phoenix have ICC and call back card. Both card charging at 0.08cent per min for call to thailand's mobile. Quaility wise I think is the same.

Several bros have requested me to post with regards to using call cards.

I'll just share my limited experience here.

Basically we have got 2 type of call cards: International Calling Cards and Callback Cards.

The rule of the thumb is that if you got free incoming call, use Callback to avoid paying local call charges.

As all these cards are budget calls, generally the voice quality is not as good, drop calls can be somewhat often and their lines can be busy as well. Rain and walking around can also affect reception. So it's better to diversify. Don'tjust rely on 1 card.

Among the cards, the better ones are those from the telco companies like Singtel (Hello), M1 and Starhub (Green) & Phoenix card. Usually they are charging between 6 to 8 cents per min which is half the cost of 018 from Starhub.

There are also those cards that are charging between 4-6 cents per min. C3 callback and 15150 callback are the better ones to call LOS after many trials and errors.

A good place to purchase these cards will be at GL lor 8 cos they are the distributor who is selling the cards at a cheaper price. Every month I will spend $48 ($8 per card x 6)

On every occasion International calling cards usually have to key in the card number follow by the telephone number whereas Callback using your mobile only needs to key in the phone number. However I discover that callback cards like C3 and 15150 will send u an sms after you make the 1st call to a new number. All u need to do is to save the number for future calls and u will never have to dial any number again.

Personally I call at least 1000 mins on a monthly basis. Previously I was using 018. The difference in phone call charges is sufficient for me to buy a ticket to BKK.

What bro High Till Dry said is right. Prepaid calling cards are differentiated into International Calling Card (ICC)(direct dial from your fixed lines such as office or house phones) and Callback cards (best used for plans with free incoming calls).

Different countries have different costs, which explains why callers can only call around 40+ mins to Philippines and people calling China can call around 600 mins for ICC and 285 mins for callback, for example.

Bros here, please be aware that those cards offering very high and unbelievable number of minutes, most of the time (95%) will have connection charge implied on per successful call. Most important is to look out for cards with no connection charge.

Bro, I'm still willing to explore new callback cards.

Got any good recommendation to call to Thailand?

I want those that I can save the phone numbers without having the hassle to key in over and over again.

After using 1515 callback card for 4 months I think is good,150 minutes to call thailand at $10 value,good sound quaility and have speed dail(a shortcut number will be saved so you can call driectly to the receiver)

bro saintsrsaf, my cards are about the same as 1515. About the same amount of time to Thailand and also with speed dial functions. Some people in the market said that their cards sometimes will anyhow cut minutes. So be careful hor...

free calls to thailand landlines until 31st dec :P

other den tt im using m1 1818, $10 gives me about 300 mins to call mobile lines in thailand.

if u are m1 subscriber, no incoming charges.

been using 1818 for quite long time, i think so far is my fave 1, cuz im on M1 and there's no charge on calls made if i use 1818, so pretty worth it. up to 303 mins

pheonix is ok but only 130mins, not very worth it leh.

reception wise, 1818's very clear too
