we r a "Messi" and a "Henry" short of capable to play like barce...

GK/DEF: Liverpool > Barce (some may dispute tat their RB, Alves better than Aberloa, but overall our defense shall be better)
DM: macherano =/> toure
MC: stevie g > inesta, xabi < xavi
LW: riera or babel << henry (our weakiest link)
RW: kyut << messi (thou i love kyut, but he is simply not in the same class as messi)
ST: torres > etoo

i oso agree tat we will give them a better fight should we be in the final, instead of man utd..

Wow where have you been bro? To have someone support Lucas and try to see him for the player he is, rather than what he is not, is rare indeed even in a Pool forum.

So much vitriol has been spilled over him but Lucas is clearly not Alonso or Mascher. Most people refuse to see this but he was playing better in the second half of the season and getting into the box. Still only one goal (against Newcastle) but he had a good break into the box against Spurs and nearly scored but for a great save by Gomez. And hit the bar on one occasion although I can't recall the match.

Of course if fans want to concentrate on the fact that he is lightweight and loses the ball 'all the time', they will find it impossible to have any sympathy for him.

So let's give him a chance. He obviously still needs to get used to the English league and keep the ball better. Stevie's recent support for him is a ringing endorsement not from a fan's point of view but a team-mate's. And I think that shows what Lucas really is - another Kuyt, playing in midfield. And we all know Kuyt was one of the most maligned players in recent history.

The writing was already on the cards in the Arsenal game, who just outpassed the Scum but didn't manage to score. No doubt we are tactically more adapt to play the Spanish teams. But I would disagree with you - I don't want Pool to be Barca, we have our own style of play and identity. Barca don't come back to draw 3-3s and 4-4s
