Just curious, what u meant by Theravada is simple to learn?? Both Theravada and Mahayana follow the same teaching... both have various languages for anyone to understand.

theravada devotees can consume meat-related food means not 100% vegetarian whereas mahayana buddhism more committed to pure vegetarian, i suppose so.
Ppl like us adopt thai amulets of various Lp are consider theravada devotees , most likely , i would say.

In fact therevada is not easy because mainly deal with pali chanting ...and other sutras..

the chanting book we read at thai, ceylonese temple is in pali language but romanised in english alphabet.
many ceylonese monks know english very well.

many books and budhist talks were translated in english.

itipiso is praising the buddha,
i like the victory chant and buddha protection chant, subducing
evil, mara.
and the turning the dhama wheel, (main chant, dhama caka).
