From my 1st cheong trip, I feel Hatyai is cheaper to get fuck than Dandok. Sugar Beat pub (next to Chaopraya #4) is best in Hatyai and Hello Bangkok in Dandok is unforgetably good for me.
In Hatyai & Dandok, all OKTs generally speak Hokkien. Luckily I can speak and understand Hokkien okok.

Jst came back from Hatyai last weekend. Hatyai seems 2 be a deserted ghost town nowadays. Walking along the Odean street, U can hardly find tourists walking around. In fact, Odean Shopping Mall is not in operation until further notice maybe in November 2009. Understand its 5th floor foodcourt caught fire and issues on Insurance Claims is delaying the reopening.

I came 2 understand that the last Snake Shop in Hatyai has ceased business. I am someone who loves the taste of Snake's Blood. During my peak days in Hatyai, I usually go for 3 snakes @ one go. Until recently these few years, only Cobras are being sold at this shop. I was there to have my portion of Snake Blood when I was told by the Lady Owner that she no more Slaughter Snakes, in Mandarin, She no longer " Sar Shen". Sit down and chatted with her and understand that she is doing it for the good of her husband who is critically ill. Ever since she stops killing snakes, her husband's illness became curable and thus, improvement follows. She is now selling Ice Kachang and thai deserts outside her Snake shop.
