I think bro Yardstick/Monger/Allen have all brought up the most important points of swinging or hot-wifing. Not all wives/gfs can accept being shared with other men, and even if they do go ahead with it, can they really accept it or even like it? I wonder how many couples split because of it, and the true reasons behind.

As for the timing and the marriage phase; I'm sure kids will affect the decision to 'fool around' or be role-model parents. On the other hand, bro Allen has a point too. Perhaps your wife needed to feel attractive again, or she wants to live without regrets of "what-ifs"?
