Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Thanks for the link bro.
Think you are right, no real substantive improvements. Howard Webb and gang seem to be only looking out to protect themselves. Guess time will tell how long this farce shall be allowed to play out. Quote:

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Liverpool will play first match at noon kick-off after International break.
Liverpool vs Everton on 28 Oct Man City vs Liverpool on 25 Nov Liverpool already played 14 first matches and two more lined up above. Looks like there is conspiracy.

Is the match still on for tonight? Heard it might be postpone due to incoming storm..think it will be good for the team to be postpone at least give the players additional time to rest..

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Getting 38 year old Ashley Young to mark Luis Diaz was a big mistake. Huge mismatch. Diaz is a bit too predictable at times

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Job done. Tough game. Great win in the end. The 3 points is all that matters. Onto the next game.
Key Points from today’s game: - Young should have been sent off for a 2nd yellow before his 2nd and red card. - Tarkowski should have been booked before his yellow card and should have been sent off. - Konate was lucky, should have got a 2nd yellow and then off with a red. - We should have had a penalty for Patterson’s foul in the box. Not given by VAR. - The penalty was a clear penalty. - Salah was poor for most of the game but came away with two goals. Both taken well. - Gravenberch was amazing in the first half. He is a proper baller. - Sometimes it’s tougher playing against 10, they go into a low deep block with little space. We looked more dangerous at 11 v 11. - I thought we made it way too easy for Everton for too long against 10 men. Not enough movement. Creative passing isn't really possible unless the runs and the movement is there. Think that captures today. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Are we in danger of being too harsh as fans? With a totally new midfield, we are 1 point behind the established squads of Man City and Arsenal. Our midfielders have never played with one another until 2-3 months back. We are scoring more goals than Man City or Arsenal.

This is long process and important is consistency through out the season. Another important factor is injuries and how badly can affect the season. Squad had to play a big part. By May 2024 we can know the results.

it is a team in transition and doing oh so well. My worry is that AFCON will begin on January 13 with the final set to take place on February 11, 2024. That means a key player, who has been scoring goals, Salah, will be away during that period. Not sure how it will affect the team. No other real left sided player in the team. But Liverpool has only one player out. Many other EPL teams will be more affected. Premier League players set for AFCON Arsenal Thomas Partey - Ghana Mohamed Elneny - Egypt Aston Villa Bertrand Traore - Burkina Faso Bournemouth Hamed Traore - Ivory Coast Dango Ouatarra - Burkina Faso Antoine Semenyo - Ghana Brentford Frank Onyeka - Nigeria Bryan Mbuemo - Cameroon Yoane Wissa - DR Congo Brighton Tariq Lamptey - Ghana Carlos Baleba - Cameroon Simon Adingra - Ivory Coast Samy Chouchane - Tunisia Burnley Anass Zaroury - Morocco Lyle Foster - South Africa Chelsea Nicolas Jackson - Senegal Crystal Palace Jordan Ayew - Ghana Cheick Doucoure - Mali Everton Idrissa Gueye - Senegal Fulham Calvin Bassey - Nigeria Alex Iwobi - Nigeria Fode Ballo-Toure - Senegal Liverpool Mohamed Salah - Egypt Luton Issa Kabore - Burkina Faso Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu - DR Congo Manchester United Andre Onana - Cameroon Sofyan Amrabat - Morocco Hannibal Mejbri - Tunisia Amad Diallo - Ivory Coast Nottingham Forest Serge Aurier - Ivory Coast Willy Boly - Ivory Coast Ibrahim Sangare - Ivory Coast Moussa Niakhate - Senegal Cheikhou Kouyate - Senegal Taiwo Awoniyi - Nigeria Ola Aina - Nigeria Sheffield United Ismaila Coulibaly - Mali Anis Ben Slimane - Tunisia Tottenham Pape Matar Sarr - Senegal Yves Bissouma - Mali West Ham Mohamed Kudus - Ghana Maxwel Cornet - Ivory Coast Nayef Aguerd - Morocco Said Benrahma - Algeria Wolves Rayan Ait-Nouri - Algeria Boubacar Traore - Mali So they will be impacted, too. Lots of fun...
