Oh haha guess I misread your question as well.

Doxycycline is an antibiotic so it will only prevent those bacterial infections. For HIV you will be out of luck.

Doxycycline does not PREVENT you from catching STIs. It is a cure for STI AFTER you catch the disease. If you take doxy or any other antibiotic on a regular basis, bacteria will grow resistant and you will be deep shit. If your VD cannot be cured with doxy then you may have to go to hospital for even stronger antibiotics which will have negative side effects.
