Thoughts immediately began running through my mind - should I just reassure her that it was not the case, or should I play along and use the situation to my advantage? Maybe I could use the guilt she was feeling to make her do more 'extreme' stuff? That way, it would take the attention away from my own guilt for cheating on her!! I could not come up with a a reply fast enough though.
Susan: I have been have been so worried ever since that day Irene came here. I was scared that Uncle would find out, and that you would be scared off by Irene!
