You can buy departure one way and return on another airline. Test and see the prices ; there is no difference. So you can actually buy according to your schedule and budget.

Also watch out for all the ticked box ; insurance and extra bags can add 25% to your airfare.

not exactly .... i bought my one way MFM-SIN at only HKD$70 when Jetstar was offering HKD$550 ... u probably lose out on the exchange rate ...
thus it's good to check all counters for the best offer to save money ...

That's correct especially when u booked TigerAirways tkt... they charge for check-in luggage and seat selection ....

These promo fares, well should i say are a a marketing tactic. I just had a experience booking on Tiger's $0.01 fares to GZ.

OK, here what happened. I eyed the SZ ticket that a fellow bro indicated he booked for $264 or so. A week later the for same dates the fares had changed to $300+ in total. Too BAD for me.

Anyhow, when i has confirmed the dates and had to book 3 tickets. I did it seperately and the first departure from SGP was $99.99. few minutes later it had gone up to $109.99 when booking the next ticket for the same date of travel. LL. Guess the system automatically ups the price when say 10 seats have been purchased and again when x number is again reached.

Hoping i can plan a trip in 2009 to MFM on this current promotion

Tiger probably sets aside a fixed number of $0.01 seats to sell. Then the remaining seats will have their selling price increased progressively as the seats fills up.

Seems there are many things to consider before buying. I always go all the way to the last step and check all possibilities before clicking on the 'Confirm Payment' button. If I dont like the prices or schedule , I'll just delete the browser.

I wonder if anyone got one cheaper than me! When Airasia was new , and Tiger just entered the market , I was lucky enough to get a return ticket to bangkok for SGD80 ; with all taxes included! But back then , Airasia and Tiger was testing market with Jetstar about to start opertions and I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time.

Another time that was good was when Jetstar used to fly to U-Tapao ; just 30mins from Pattaya, Not only did I reach Walking Street in record time and low baht ; I was 1 of 3 passengers on board! There was more crew than passengers! Only other passengers was a singapore couple who didnt know where the hell they were! So I was not surprised when Jetstar sacked that angmo boss and cut all flight to U-Tapao after that!
