If you thinking about Edn visa..new rules requires a weekly 4 times aka 8 hrs study in class..up from the previous 4 hrs. Not want go school so often..always the loophole..pay more money..a 1000 baht more per month to be exact.

In Pattaya..the Beach chair vendors have been removed..replaced by more vendors selling drinks and beer and other stuff..More vendors means simply more coffee money.

Whatever new policy is being done is to squeeze more money.Simple as that.

I dont complain.Just have to pay up. Either that or put up with different bullshit back home. I will stay here for now.

Not all banks..... Kasikorn in Central Festival allowed me to open after being rejected by 2 other banks in Jomtien & North Pattaya. But got restrictions like banking facilities only can use in Chonburi province.

Same in Hatyai..... long long time ago Thai Farmers Bank allow foreigners to open accounts but with restrictions too. Me blur blur put money into bank in Hatyai then went to BKK and discovered cannot withdraw money in BKK branch.... ATM card also cannot be used in BKK.

Transaction over ATM in other province comes with a fee, like withdrawal, deposit. They are trying to get rid of this.

U will need a Thai address and mobile. Some banks dun bother, some banks require u to show any utility bill with your name on it. Just hop around like u do for Agogo. Bank will not send u anything via mail cause they know mail service in Thailand is crap All communication is via email, sms, mobile app or over counter.

Bangkok Bank used to have bank account for tourist. I dunno whether still available. If u travel to province frequently then go for K bank or SCB. The rest a bit difficult to find atm or branch in province.
