Who here would have thought Cat III movies will be a thing of the past? One of the nicer memories will be watching it during NS with NS friends. Some guy will randomly buy a Cat 3 VCD for $10 during nights off and bring it back to watch. Then 40 guys just watch together when the regulars have gone back. When you think back ah... last time the TV also not as big as today's TV. Those Malay and Indian NS friends have to sit in front to read subtitles. I think they must have thought (diu) is a chinese word. End up they learnt how to understand Cantonese instead of Chinese

Those movies with lots of nudity will be watched with almost total silence. Those movies with ridiculous storylines will be talked about for days. The worst movie will be the Chu Ying Cat 3 movie. See nothing much. The best Cat 3 movie will be the one with the lesbian scene between Loretta Lee Li Zhen and Shu Qi.

Those VCR tapes are blue tapes right? Or CAT 3? I bought blue tapes before too. $5 or $10 per tape. Have minimum order I remember The guy didn't show up so I went to kopitiam to page him and wait for him to call back before scolding him. he did turn up an hour later.

By VCD, I meant those makeshift tables outside those game shops or at pasar malam. All the VCDs are in a mess on the table. Everyone crowd around to pick and choose. Another table set up for pirated games and software CD. Life was interestingly simple then. Youngsters can openly choose CAT 3 movies. It was R(A) 21 then

Start of the movie to 2:05 mark you see Rebecca the mother getting fucked by some gangster while her helpless wheelchair bound husband looks on and the daughter is upset. Then at 41:45 is a flashback where Rebecca was raped and her husband beaten to wheelchair bound. I don't think got nudes la but just wanna mention for bro cavemao.

On my side, we asked the girls in my class if they wish to pool money together to buy. They also see such flyers before right? Basic instinct, Schindler's List and The Lover (Tony Leung) plus KNN... my friend chose Faces Of Death. After class, about 10 of us watch at a classmate's house in Tampines.

As I got older, the non Hong Kong R(A) 21 movies became better in storyline. Devil's Advocate was nice. American Pie was great. This movie sort of lead to the Korean classic Sex Is Zero. The accidentally poke backside scene is unforgettable.
