But yes, most of the time I was hoping players like Downing or Henderson to pop up with important or winning goals... Sad to say more often than not, its usually Stevie or Suraez, and even that has becoming less and less....

I'm dreaming of a FA Cup Final against Chelski, with FT missing the decisive penalty.

I think if we make it to the final...Chelski would be the easier opponent to defeat but at the same time, I think Sperms will make it a more entertaining final.
We have some unsettled business with Sperms, would love to beat them! |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I am equally disgusted that why someone would doubt the fans here just because he couldn't agree on certain issues raised and discussed by others.
Players and Managers come and go, but the love and support for the club remained unchanged. Recent run of poor performances are unacceptable for a big club like Liverpool. A good manager looks for the reasons, not excuses. All players and coaching staff should bear the responsibilities of the recent poor form. The league table doesn't lie, and the players' performance index doesn't lie as well. It doesn't matter if you are a fan post or pre RB era , every fan are welcomed to discuss. And most importantly, I knew what YNWA means, just like everyone ! Quote:

Fans that criticise underperforming players and call for changes and new signings are everywhere nowadays. Look around at the other clubs. They are not necessarily wrong, but they are common. Pool fans are supposed to be different. Quote:
But at the end of the day, you want the players to succeed and so do I. That's the difference between us and the others. |

Can c that u r a v passionate reds fan...however i think yr 'blind' passion sometimes gets in the way of rational thinking...
it goes wifout saying that all reds fans want the whole squad to succeed...n i am pretty sure the feeling is felt everytime the reds play a game...however this sld not stop a true reds fan fm speaking fm the heart regardless of being positive r negative abt the team... Btw apart fm YNWA...THIS IS ANFIELD use to mean something...kenny more than most knows this...just look at wat this season's squad has done to the meaning of this once proud iconic sign...n u still wonder why true reds fans r getting all hot under the collar?! Saying one stands out from other pool fans just spelled out how 'blind' and 'arrogant' one individual can be. Accusing other pool fans of not wanting the players to succeed is another. We all have common sense, if players are not successful so will the club. This ain't rocket science theory!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Last season when KD was reappointed the players and fans were ecstatic, we were seeing a 3-0 home victory against City and 5-2 away victory against Fulham etc..
I do admit this season Reds have a less than average performance; guess the euphoria surrounding the reappointment of KD had died down. Another reason was possibly due to players being played out of positions (Henderson and S Downing at right midfield?) Skillful and versatile players who can play across the pitch and who can win the game singlehandly are rare species nowadays; I recall even our ex Masherano when asked to play at RB doesn’t yield the result we wanted. KD lives and breathes LFC, passion wise there is no doubting him, but tactics wise I am of the mindset he still coverts the old 70s thinking. The current formation and players selected may worked in some games, but other games where the opponents are more physical and taller- build the team wouldn’t excel. Modern games have evolved. He needs to play to the players’ strengths and mould the players into a winning team. Bros, lets not get into personal agenda against each others calling or asking whether u r true Reds fans or not...that say, this is a forum afterall, each one is entitled to his own view. We are not in LFC shareholders meeting or manager/players dressing rooms. Ours views wouldn’t have any impact on the next games’ players selection. Apart from the usual jokers like (p______) I believe all of us are true Reds fans. Cheers |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
So it's all about YOU YOU and YOU...
You are special You are different from the rest of us You prolly have 3 dicks and we have one How lonely and pathetic you are.. If that's how a true reds behave....how sad this is. I believe even a west brom fans, forest fans or hougang fans doesn't think it's all about Them Them Them. If basic criticism cant be accepted and individuals only likes to listen to good things, how can one survived in this society. Ah well, it's a virtual forum and kids doesn't learn to grow up even after years of surfing Sbf You never walk alone

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
saw this article on soccernet published today, talking about Liverpool's 4 latest signings namely Downing, Carroll, Henderson and Adam.
Liverpool's flawed four http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns...d-four?cc=4716 this particular paragraph caught my attention: A focus on the strikers, however, obscures the fact the midfielders contribute too few goals. Between them, Downing, Henderson and Adam have five in 110 games this season, and one of those was a penalty. In contrast, the under-used Maxi Rodriguez has four in his limited opportunities and Raul Meireles, shunted out of the back door, managed five in half a season under Dalglish last year. That Downing, a £20 million winger, has neither scored nor created a league goal is an extraordinary embarrassment. food for thought? |
