Barcelona 1 - 0 Alavés : Lewandowski strike gives Barcelona 1-0 win

Robert Lewandowski's second-half strike secured a 1-0 win for Barcelona against Alavés on Sunday, as the third-placed hosts reduced their gap with LaLiga leaders Real Madrid to four points.

Pedri's lofted ball from the left reached Lamine Yamal whose cross took a deflection off Nahuel Tenaglia and found Lewandowski who volleyed home from close range.

Valencia 0 - 5 Barcelona : Ferran Torres hat trick leads Barca to 5-0 Copa romp

Forward Ferran Torres scored a hat trick in the first 30 minutes to lead an imperious Barcelona to a 5-0 rout of Valencia in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals on Thursday.

Playing in his home town against his childhood club, Torres scored from a quick counter-attack in the second minute and extended the lead in the 17th when he fired home a rebound from a Lamine Yamal strike that ricocheted off the post.

Fermin Lopez scored the third in another counter five minutes later and Torres gave Barca a four-goal lead on the half-hour mark with a strike from the edge of the box.

The visitors took their foot off the gas after the break but Yamal added a fifth goal in the 59nd minute with help from Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski, who made a howler when Yamal's shot deflected off his gloves and into the net.

Sevilla 1 - 4 Barcelona : Barcelona beat Sevilla despite red

Barcelona earned a hard-fought 4-1 win at struggling Sevilla on Sunday thanks to goals by Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Eric Garcia to edge them closer to the top of the LaLiga standings.

Lewandowski gave Barca the lead from close range in the seventh minute but Ruben Vargas hit right back to equalise for the home side from a quick counter one minute later.

Lopez came off the bench and put Barca back in front two minutes after the break and Raphinha extended their lead in the 55th minute with a brilliant strike from outside the box.

Five minutes later, Barca were reduced to 10 men after Lopez was shown a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on Djibril Sow, but the visitors held off Sevilla and managed to score their fourth through Eric Garcia's header in the 89th minute.

Barcelona 1 - 0 Rayo Vallecano : Barcelona top LaLiga after beating Rayo with Lewandowski penalty

Striker Robert Lewandowski scored a first-half penalty to give Barcelona a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Rayo Vallecano on Monday that moved them to top of the LaLiga standings.

Barca took advantage of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid dropping points over the weekend to leapfrog them from third-place to the top of the standings. Barca are level on 51 points with Real but ahead on goal difference.

After Pathé Ciss fouled Iñigo Martínez inside the box, Mario Melero Lopez awarded the home side a penalty following a lengthy VAR check. Lewandowski netted the winner with a tidy finish from the spot in the 28th minute.

Las Palmas 0 - 2 Barcelona : Substitutes Dani Olmo, Ferran Torres help Barcelona reclaim top spot

Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres came off the bench to rescue a 2-0 win for Barcelona at Las Palmas on Saturday that sent them back to the top of the LaLiga table.

Both sides were largely toothless in attack in a slow-paced match and struggled to produce good goal-scoring opportunities, before Barça finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute with a shot from inside the box by Olmo.

Torres added the second goal at the death, taking advantage of a mistake by the home side's defence to fire a strike from close range five minutes into added time.

Barcelona now lead on 54 points, one ahead of Atlético Madrid. Real Madrid are third on 51 but have a game in hand and will host Girona on Sunday.

Barcelona 4 - 4 Atlético Madrid : Barcelona draw with Atletico Madrid in 8-goal Copa thriller

(1st Leg)

Atlético Madrid clawed back from two goals down to rescue a last-gasp 4-4 draw at Barcelona in a rip-roaring battle in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Tuesday.

Atlético stunned the home side early on, taking a two-goal lead with Julián Álvarez opening the scoring inside the first minute and Antoine Griezmann extending their advantage five minutes later.

However, Barcelona fought back with goals by Pedri in the 19th minute and Pau Cubarsí in the 21st, before taking the lead through Iñigo Martínez's header from a corner in the 41st minute.

Barça took control of proceedings and Robert Lewandowski made it 4-2 with a tap-in from close range after great individual work by Lamine Yamal in the 74th minute.

But Atletico had other ideas.

They struck back through Marcos Llorente in the 84th minute and another goal on the counter by Alexander Sorloth in the third minute of stoppage time left it all square ahead of the return encounter in the Spanish capital on April 2.
