Given that you mentioned we may face Aston Villa, the social media space was gossiping about Marcus Rashford's comment when he joined Aston Villa. He kind of said one of the reasons he joined Aston Villa was to play in the CL.

The gossip/discussion was that in the past, people leave their clubs to join Man U, they speak of the desire to play in the CL. Now players are leaving Man U to join other clubs with the same reasoning... so that they can play in the CL. How times have changed.

Arsenal lost and help Liverpool Slot.

definitely unexpected loss from Arsenal last night. I thought they would win and was hoping they drop points in their next match. 2nd placed Arsenal travels to 3rd place Nottingham Forest next.

Arne Slot gave the squad a rest day on Friday. Hopefully the players come back slightly fresher. Anyone watching tonight? 12.30 am.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Huge title winning weekend. Clinical and somewhat comfortable. The day of rest worked. Diaz is running much more in this game.

Nottingham Forest conceded 4 goals in the 1st half in their 4-3 loss away at Newcastle. They will want to win their next home game against Arsenal. A loss will impact their quest for top 4.

My wish came true.

Just win 8 more games will do. Every match now will be final.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Well, well, well

Twists and turns eh?!

MASSIVE

3 points - 1st win at City in a decade

This weekend has been seismic. What could have been a lead slashed to 5 points, with Arsenal having a game in hand and able to slash that again to 2 points, we are now 11 clear

Big result, big performance...Blessed weekend..

That was a masterclass on how to control a game of football...Classic European away...

Most controlled, disciplined performance I've seen from us in years. Not spectacular, just a tactical masterclass. The 2nd half tactics did mean we expended less energy. As the Villa game showed players are getting too tired to high press for 90 mins. Better to drop into a low block and recover.

Well done, Arne Slot!!

City are a ghost of their former selves...KDB kicking the ball to the corner flag coming to the end of the 1st half just showed how bad City are now

Salah and Van Dijk were immense...Szoboszlai was brilliant...

But I also need to talk about our warrior...think Slot regrets not bringing Endo on v Everton...just love it when Endo comes on...it makes me confident that the result is done...not one goal conceded all season after Endo comes on...he made 3 huge tackles late in this game...

Sunday morning I thought I'd just heard the Fat Lady gargling her throat...Now I think I've just seen her putting on her party dress...a flouncy all red number with a touch of white trim

YNWA

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Now that I am more relaxed, let me share my pov on this season's CL...I think there needs to be more incentive to finish top or top 4....

I get that we got PSG because they were bad in the league stage and squeaked through, but I think CL should get rid of the last 16 and the top 4 go through to the QFs automatically, with the positions 5-12 playing for the remaining 4 spots

Then you seed the teams 1-4 based on their positions in the league and then you seed the teams that came through on how they initially finished in the league stage

You then draw 1 v 8. 2 v 7. 3 v 6, 4 v 5

Anyways, after watching our masterclass performance against City last night, I am a bit more confident now facing a much improved PSG...think it’s gonna be a cracker and hopefully another magical European night at Anfield

Every match now is a FINAL.

When Liverpool players are tired and so is every other team players. Also how to manage injuries.

There will be heroes in every match.

Thank you. judging from the time you posted, I suppose you watched the match live too. How are you today? Knn... age is catching up. Watch until 2.30 am and I'm dying today. Need many cups of coffee.

Well, it depends on how Arsenal respond. If they drop points (away) against a tough Forest, we may need fewer points.

In between the 2 PSG matches is a match against Southampton, I am thinking we can rotate and rest some key players. Helps to get fresher legs for the 2nd leg CL against PSG (home match) and also rest players to prevent injury for the cup final.

We have 7 days of rest before the 1st leg of the CL match against PSG.

I predict 85 points may win the title this season.

This season back to the olden days where 85 points win.

If we have new Pope and/or Royal marriage, then Liverpool may win the CL this season.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Just read this comment in social media on the City v Liverpool game and had to share it here

We Klopped them in the 1st half and Mourinhoed them in the 2nd

Seriousy though, I could live with that game plan for the rest of the season if it means winning the EL, PL and CL trophies
