Passport is good for only entry visa purposes, nothing else.

Gaining nationality in another country is a different matter, and it does work better when you're married to a person of that nationality. So yeah, if her targeted migration plan is to that country, it does makes a lot of sense. Otherwise how else those foreign women gain citizenship that easily in Singapore, no doubt that are some processes and SOP to follow.
