FYI, Pekan Baru is an industrial estate. If u are looking for niteclubs, you'll have to take a taxi to the town area which is 1.5hrs journey. Dun go at nite, crime rates there are high.

Heard some of the singaporeans have set up their entertainment joints with the indon locals, hence jacking up the prices vastly.

Last time round, it only cost $30K rupiah for a 30 mins of work-up.

You can either fly Singapore - Pekanbaru by Garuda.

What I did was to fly SQ to Jakarta and then fly Air Asia to Pekan Bahru. All this was convoluted travel was because I wanted to avoid travelling on any Indonesian Airlines.
