I think we have seen/heard quite a few such stories during our cheonging years. It had always been happening and will continue to happen. Some and maybe most of the WLs are very street smart. Their primary objective is to make as much money as possible within the target duration that they set for themselves. Some do it the old fashion way ie working hard, while some do it the smart way ie find 'carrots' or 'sugar daddies' or 'boyfriends'. They will fully exploit the 'sympathy', 'care & concern' and the 'love' shown to them and will go to great lengths to do it. Once they got bored and/or they feel it's job done, their attitude & behavior will change and this is when samsters will feel 'cheated', 'heart broken' etc. So my advice is find closure & move on.
