For me to marry a VN gal, what does she need to bring?? I know there is like a cert of martial status to declare that's she is single which she must get from VN. So I suppose I would also have to get that translated by their embassy before going for the solomization?? Anything else she needs?? Besides passport, anything else I should take note of??

Heh..wouldn't try to justify my actions here..because a guy under gong tao sure will have a lot of reasons. Beside you guys would already have heard all these stories a thousand times.

There are incidents where sillypore man dunno that the little child/baby is the child of his galfriend.

1 friend of my vn gal friend in Mekong already had a 3yo child but she tells her sillypore boyfriend that this child is her youngest sister. They are always staging a show whenever this sillypore guy visit her in vn. It is easy for them to stage a show as the little child calls her grandmother "Me" and call her mother by name. All this years, this child stick to the grandmother more as her mother got to work in sillpore. My gal friend say that this is good enuff to cover up the truth from the guy.

Heard that this coming Valentine, this guy will visit her again and bringing $5000 for her family. Other than that, he is always sending alot money to vn to feed her. Now both mother and daughter stopped working and enjoy life in vn (got money also never return to my galfriend after so many years of help).

I think this guy is either blinded by this gal or kana Kong Tao liao. This gal is not pretty at all, she is round short and fat, but she always visit the witch in vn to ask for favour.

How can this young educated sillypore guy not probe into the truth, or find out more about her family before stepping in a relation and provide so much money to this gal.

There are alot of good Samaritans in S'pore.

This thread is getting quieter day by day. after getting 5000 replies and more than 140,000 views, i hope that fellow samsters have a better understanding of their vietnamese spouse or gf.

Although my experience in Vietnam is limited, i try to share my experiences and i am glad that fellow bros share theirs too.

one other thing to note when bros need to deal with official government procedures. When you or your spouse need to deal with vietnamese government, do remember a few things:

(1) Don't be shy to ask the officer for procedures, documents needed and time taken. very often, instructions passed down by one officer is very much different from the other.

(2) if after trying many times and you feel that its not possible, engage an agent to process the paper work for you

(3) If your situation is complicated and normal procedures may be difficult, try to give some `coffee money' via agent. But do remember, their `coffee money' is not cheap. Normally, they charge foreigners in USD.

By most instances, even the most complicated matters can be solved by `coffee money' in vietnam. But do put your `coffee money' into an envelope and pass it to the officer secretly. And for brothers who are planning to start business in VN, its a norm to bribe the ward police. If you give them some `coffee money', your business will be smooth.

Valentines's Day today... Phew, i still remember when i was going after my wife in VN, i sent her 99 roses on Valentines Day. But the way these florist in HCM wrapped their roses was damm ugly and old fashion, when i saw how they wrapped, i almost fainted. looks more like for `dead people' than for `person you love'...

ONE of two women who had exposed her breasts in a KTV room of a nightclub was fined $1,000 on Friday.

Dinh Thi Diem Truong, 23, who is on social visit, admitted to committing the obscene act at Hollywood Nite Club at Eu Tong Sen Street on Wednesday.

A magistrate's court heard that a party of officers went to the entertainment outlet that evening to check when one of them entered a KTV room and saw Diem Truong and another woman inside with their breasts exposed.

He arrested them.

The case of the other woman, Nguyen Manh Khuong, 26, a housewife and a permanent resident, was adjourned to March 13 for her lawyer, Mr David Ng, to make representations.

Diem Truong could have been jailed for up to three months or fined or jailed and fined for the obscene act.

Vietnamese gals are supertitious, so there is a possibility. But if it was a very often thing, then mostly the agenda wasn't really the temple visit alone. They have a habit of not speaking the entire truth. Remember these and you will sleep better.

Some Famous temples are really far. There are temples at TAY NINH mountain area (3hr), AN GIANG-CHAU DOC(6hr), etc.

Ask her wher she go la, then u will know...

I don't understand why wanna travel so far to different temple to pray for a short while, and then travel so far back again .
