I do understand that alot of bros here already heard of too many bad storys from this thread/real life , or experienced these bad VBs. For me, I know that I cant lay down my guards towards my vb gf, no matter how much I love her.

Anyway, just to share something that she did to me and really touched my heart.

Few weeks ago when she still working in sg ktv, she pass most of her earnings to me because she scared that the rented room not safe ( 6-8 stay in the room ). so everytime She passed to me, she dont really count how much she pass to me, I still need to count for her, record for her. Until the last day when she going back hcm, I pass her back all the money, tell her that as per record, you alrady pass me this amount ( around 2k ). I requested her to count, but she refused, she said she trusted me as her Ox, so in the end she really nv count.

After she went back to her home town few days later, we did video call everyday, and during the video call, she said she bought something for me, then she take out something that very shining, A gold necklace! I saw liao my mouth drop, instead been happy to see that she bought something expensive for me, I was kinda angry to see that and questioned her how much is that, she said: 6m VND. WTF!! I told her My birthday still far away, and I alrady told her dont buy anything for me, why she still buy such expensive stuff, she still said the same thing lo, I am her Ox, she love me mai mai bla bla bla, said that she scare go back hometown her family keep taking her money, so when she still have the money, she bought that for me..

Then few days ago, I started to receive her video call in the early morning 630am( sg time ), and she nv video call me b4 in the past few months, I was like.......nth to say... She know that I alrady woke up and ready to go to work and she said that she wants to see me....So surprised indeed, cos the night b4 she came back from her work, it was abt 1-2am , we chat awhile..then greet good night..

I can't answer any Qs relating to VBs but this.....

SPRs do not have expiry dates, but can be revoked due to serious criminal violations, and now inclusive of terrorist acts.

Your spouse will be required to renew her REP, re-entry permit (I think still that big A4 size yellow document?) before the 5 years expiry, to enable her, as a SPR to retain her SPR status while she's away.

Wife of a SC/SPR/Local Sponsor is required to produce the ROM certificate and hubby's NRIC. (Additional documents may be required to support each & every REP application)

I'm not sure whether if you discard or hide your ROM cert or your NIRC will hinder the process or not as I have not come across this situation.

SPR is given to candidates that can contribute to Singapore...for this case she here to provide a family...nothing stoping her to divorce and her new hubby can apply her new SPR...all these are painful experiences...

Not really wor. That time my 1st VB; I go TET there; I don't really spend much $. I just gave the parents $100 each. That all. It had to depend on individual; if he want to be hao lian; he can spend as much as he want. If not; just give to the parents a small ang pao will do.

Disclaimer - the story may relate a certain person but no name mentioned and just for discussion sake as case studies.

Story 2

A Singaporean married a Viet gal and have a baby after 3 years of marriage. Now the girl already has PR approved. The girl already left the house due to disagreement and tough life. The HDB was owned by hubby and his mother.

A friend named E of the girl was seeking advice from me if she can get anything if they divorce. According to E, the hubby wanted the divorce after the PR lapsed. E just wanted to help her as a friend and in fact E advised her not to divorce.

I had given some advice to E and not sure what else I can advise him more.
