If u at VL hotel, u can walk down towards kosit hotel direction, n u can find mandarin hotel is at the cornen side, If can't find can take tuk tuk or motorbike. ATAME, NEW LADY MASSAGE or PINK LADY got ST.

Can someone advise me for trip to Hatyai cos I had not been there for almost 8yrs le. I'm intend to go with a friend to there for a short trip on the 2nd June and rtn on the 5th June.

a) We intend to take a Consortium's Coach from Golden Mile to Hatyai but they only provide 1 way trip. Can we get a bus ticket back from hatyai easily or we should buy a rtn air tkt 1st?

b) Which are the best recommended hotel should we stay? Budget max 1500 Bhat.

c) Which farm should we go? Any good recommendations of the the farm? Budget max 2500 Bhat.

d) Any do and dont's?

I don't really believe in those 'suan ming', they always say all good things. Listen with a big pinch of salt.....

Better go with the mind for a 'peace of mind' and 'safe and health'. I tried most temples in and around Danok/Hatyai, I so far have yet to get the nice feeling which I get from the temple I goes to in BKK (for more than 20 years liao)

The one with humvee, hmmm..... always say good things. One even have the cheeks to say he love 'yen wor' drinks.....

But must say, there is one Buddha statue that catches attention, the one just after Sadao, after the Kimberly factories. Can't miss, one big white one, give me the feeling of welcome and have a safe journey thingy, every time I passes by.

And there would be a good temple to visit in Padang Besar, good feeling when comes to the Kwan Yim statue. (in the caves)

My info also 3 years old but I try my best

a) Go to lovely tour. Ask any bellboy or tuk tuk driver

b) I like hatyai palace corner room. Room is very big and have a "living room" and they probably only hotel that got porn channel beside pink lady. Downside is quite run down and sometimes got cockroach.

c) I usually go to channivate area near Sim Kim Yong.

d) DO NOT SMOKE in the Karaoke (I mean those where you actually get to sing songs) open area even if the manager say its ok too. Me and my friend was caught before and had to go down to the police station and in the end pay 2k fine before we were let off. The OKT of the girls we were having came to help. I wonder if the fine would be even higher if he didnt. Those useless manager who earlier told us it is fine to smoke and even brought us ass tray were powerless with the police. Come to think of it, I might not even smoke inside the private rooms after the incident.

yes very easy, you can even buy the ticket as soon as you have alighted from the bus and buy your return ticket.

You can stay at New Sessions, Siam City, Lee Garden,Golden Crown and Mayflower (they are increasing prices like nobody business as they are the most convenient Hotel within the city....!

See Kim Yong and Chinnivat Soi 2 & Soi 3. Still within that price!

d) Any do and dont's?

Don't worry, spend as long as you are happy and except DON"T spend all your money, leave some to go back with.

The most famous one nowadays is Wat Pa Ko in Menom District (Arjan Thong ~ the monk passed away lieow)
30 minutes from Hatyai.

The second in the line is Wat Sai Kow.
45 minutes from Hatyai.

P/S: In the morning at 7am (Thai time) there is a "Tam Boon" to the monks, novice monks and nuns at the junction of Talak Kim Yong very near if you are staying in Mayflower Hotel (within walking distance about 3 mins max). Change lots of coins of 10 bahts or 20 bahts depending on your budget.

Normally there will be about 20-30 of them. Good Luck! Chok Dee na Krap!

I went to Kim Yong market as early around 6am or before the sun rise, bought some food, water, flower, etc to offer to these bare foot walking monks, get their bless chanting and some of them gone before the first light come out. Another group of monks appear and the crowd was getting heavy in the fresh bright morning.
