It is not safe at all time. If possible, try to walk in a group. Last time I tried walked alone from BZL to Jin Lang hotel at nite, always felt uneasy whenever I walked past groups of suspicious looking guys loitering on the street. Maybe, I looked poor, nothing happen to me that time. However, I got a frd with his gal walking outside near Shangyuan hotel in broad daylight around noon time, then out of nowhere 2 guys riding motorbike tried to snatch the gal's handbag. After that incident, I rather pay 10-15 rmb for cab even for a short ride.

In another incident, after visiting Chaperone for evil footie massage, I tried to walk from Chaperone to Miraton at around 1am++. When I walked along Zhongyuan Road, kena stopped by 2 Gong Ans. I was very worried that the 2 Gong Ans were fake, so I requested to see their passes. One of them just showed his pass for a split second, and I couldn't even take a look if it was real or not. They also rudely suspected that I was a drug addict and demanded a body search and even requested for my wallet. I LL handed over my wallet but prepared to fight them out if they tried to flee. Luckily, they were real Gong An, so after some questionings, they returned my wallet and let me off.

I had always wanted to visit one of the clubs in Tian Er Hu Road cos never been b4. After reading your FR, it seemed really not worth going clubbing in CP. I rather saved the rmb for SN session.

Actually bro you can just drop by 18 or Cali red but just don't get the sofa seats. Anyway i really don't remember paying any extras for the sofa seats leh...I am quite a regular at Cali red.

That night i went Super with bro FGG, we also never pay extra for the sofa seat. I only buy 3 dozens beer and paid 100rmb for the standard service fee then thats it.

I do stay in other hotels like YH and OY but always come back to Walter as it feels almost like my second home. I have witness the coming and going of most personnel and still maintaining contact of some mgmt. already left the hotel.

So there's no need for me to tell ppl what I think of the hotel ....but do be careful when you need to cross the main street late at nite all by yourself esp walking in front of the rainbow shopping center .... ppl known being robbed at knife point ......

i am planning a quick solo stopover in CP end may and will only have 2 days and 1 night (at most 2) in this part of heaven.

1. I would like to visit saunas in the day time, so far reading the thread i can see Virgin and HM being mentioned. does anybody have the full name of the hotel that i can quote to the taxi driver?

2. at night time, i would like to bring a gal back to my hotel room for overnite, is KTV the only way that i can do so? dont really prefer going KTV solo...

this 1st time going solo, so appreciate all bros advices and guidance!

Most of the time bill came up to about 600+ RMB for about 1 dozen of beer @ 18GG. But normally thats 2nd round already after KTV la. So the seats should be 300+ RMB, yes.

Cali Red with 1 bottle of chivas was also 600 RMB. Not to mention lots of free tidbits and free seats. More worth while.

Try walking behind Rainbow store rather than infront, much safer as there
are many late nite food stalls which open till abt 2-3am.
That small street is also the entrance to those apartments above rainbow..
so it is quite busy at nite where u see a lot of the residents having their supper.
Yes...a lot of ktv mms stay in those apartments...i met quite a few
there.
Among all these stalls, shops and restaurants ...u will find a couple of
laundry shops,...a late nite restaurant which serves prawn and crab porridge,,
...and of cos the usual bbq and hot pot, fruit stalls, and conveinient stores.
Not a bad place for crowd watching when hving yr nite makan.

I do not find the beds in Waiter hard at all...in fact i find the
bed mattress just the correct firmness for my nite sessions.
Then again it is all personal preferance.
The other positives abt this hotel ....friendlier staff,
breakfast is not too crowded like HH,..
the sauna is OK, my favourite footie shop,or a dirty footie or massage
in yr own room,
..and of cos 100-200 rmb cheaper than HH and Miraton.
And no,,,I do not lock away my laptop when i leave the room...so
far so good.

BBS is the most direct and cheapest.... safest way will be get in touch an agent. The mamasan will bring the MMs to your room to choose, until you like. Price ranges from 150/200 for ST and 500/600 for overnight (overnight usually after 8pm at least).

Actually KTV is also good for experience. Join the mixed KTV session for only 300-400 for drinks and go through the process of choosing MMs from flower street. Fees for MMs are seperate.

bro ... since u r spending one or two nites in cp .. i suggest u stay in virgin hotel, huimei hotel or miraton hotel ...
and these hotels r walking distance to the saunas u mentioned ...
in fact, these 3 hotels have saunas in their facilities ...

bringing a gal from unknown source for overnite is high risk as bad things can happen and u might not be able to track the gal down ...
going to ktv and find a gal for overnite is safer as they r registered to the establishment and also they r being handle by their mummy ...

since u will be going to cp alone, i suggest u engage the cp agent and join in the mixed ktv .. it's economical and safer ...
