Totally wrong (my 2 cents too).
An abundant seafood meal, like a meal one can get in East Coast Seafood Center Singapore for 100SGD/person, in Batam Harbour Bay, or better at a good kelong restaurant at Barelang, may cost around 250k IDR (1/3 as in Singapore).
It makes sense, if you want to impress wives and show them why you like to go to Batam sometimes, for seafood, what else, to buy ferry tickets, rent a car with driver, go to Barelang and spend 3 hours in front of a large table filled up with seafood plates. If the group is not small, it is also economically convenient (I am not sure for what group size there is the breakeven).

It is up each preference. Some line PRCs, some like Thai. Some like Brown, some like white. One thing I have to agree is that Jakarta has the top notch gals. Most gals started off in Jakarta before coming to Surabaya and then other parts of indonesia.
