I agree with u most of the FLs or ceweks willingly take up prostitution to make living. All these years of cheonging, i have only booked and met 3 cases whereby the ceweks told me they were forced into prostitution, and against their own free will. Two of them i did not see them hanging around the joint anymore. But the 3rd one came back to balai after a year "disappearance".

I find it very amusing when u said u are gaining good karma by giving them business. In fact most of my kakies thinks like u also. To each his own ya.

When I started staying in Formosa in 2012, I remembered the price was always around $60-65 depending on weekday or weekend.

But after several years later, the walk in price reduced to $50+ and now with membership becomes 460k=$47. The price for staying in Formosa gets cheaper over the years and the hotel room is constantly renovating to provide better comfort to hotel guest.

Improvements to toilets and the recent year implementation of wifi in rooms by installing many access points (AP) router to boost wifi signal.

I was wondering where on Earth got such a hotel which charge cheaper and cheaper over the years despite inflation taking place and the hotel also constantly keep improving its facilities...

No wonder Formosa will never be out of business because of its loyal customers over the years

On the other hand, the following is Lailai Mutiara hotel room rate for superior room(the best and most spacious)

170k in Y2007 and then up to

200k in Y2010 and then up again to

230k in Y2012 and then up again to

260k in Y2015 and then after they have installed a new lift and renovate the room cabinets, it becomes

280k in Y2016..

LaiLai cheapest standard room also increase from 180k few years ago to now 250k.

Another example is Lovina inn Nagoya used to charges 230k for standard room but now has raised up to 290k with promotion only.
without promotion is 300+k

Nowadays want to find a hotel below 200k per night at Nagoya area seems a bit difficult as hotels keep revising their hotel room rates...

Just comparing Lovina Inn standard room and Formosa deluxe room.

Nowadays the 1 or 2 star hotel pricing is too close to the 3 star hotel price like Formosa that makes guest decide to stay in 3 star.

Lovina inn standard room with promotion = 290k
Formosa deluxe room with membership = 460k

Not to forget after staying in Formosa for 15 times in deluxe room entitle to a free night stay which mean per night stay one will get a rebate of (460k divide by 15) = 31k.

That means the actual cost of room rate of deluxe room in Formosa is 460k-31k=429k.

Therefore the actual difference between the room rates is 429k-290k=139k.

With this small difference of 139k between Formosa and lovina inn, you get to enjoy:

1) 3 star hotel room interior vs 2 star hotel room interior

2) More spacious room & toilet

3) Better and more variety breakfast food/drink.

4) Carpet vs floor tiles.

5) LED TV vs CRT TV

6) Save on massage fee when calling king's massage service to Formosa room. 2 hours at 180k.
If call massage to lovina inn room is much expensive at 250k for 2 hours.
The saving will be 250k-180k=70k per massage...
If 1 day massage 2 times of 2 hours, already get back the difference of 139k, isn't it, hehe.70kx2=140k

7) Wifi at Formosa stronger signal.

8) Can check out late at 2pm at Formosa vs 12pm at lovina inn.

9) Better hospitality in Formosa that make your stay a pleasant one.

10) The availability of putting your barang barang at the counter safe box in formosa.

With all these factors taking into account very hard to convince myself not to stay in Formosa, left think right think, Formosa is still the ideal choice ! hehe

There are generally 2 types of ayam found in Batam perhaps:

The first type of ayam are those ceweks who is due to unforeseen circumstance which force her to work in the joints because of :

1) the need to pay up the loan which she borrowed from loanshark,OKT,etc in her home town in Java/Sumatra for the sake of using the money for her family urgently.

2) being cheated or kena tipu by friends into this trade by sweet talking to her about how good is the money income as most of the cewek are young and naive.

Therefore the first type of ayam are actually not very willing to work in this line and generally do not enjoy sex with a stranger.

She tends to be a bit shy when she is fully naked in the room with the customer. Therefore calling her to do bbbj, cim, ar, many positions are almost impossible.

Therefore these type of ayam is likely to pretend to be sick and request to go back joint early. (Main sandiwara depan tamu)

She prefers to talk to customers more than doing sex. Therefore she is not so money minded and will not expect too much tips from her client.

However, there may be a chance that she will turn over a new leaf and repent and quit if she managed to find a "golden turtle" who is wiling to simpan her as a mistress or married her as a wife. This type of ayam are mainly found in booking joints and massage parlours.

The second type of ayam is those cewek who is on their own free will come to Batam to work as a prostitute.

They are generally materialistic type and simply just want to earn easy money way out by being a prostitute.

She is simply too lazy and uncontented to work in a normal job and whole day just thinking about enjoyment by expecting the tamu to bring them eat good food, shopping, buy them the things they want, etc.

These type of ayam are usually found at discotheque and pubs as a freelancer although some are found in booking joints. They are generally more open to sex and are probably more demanding for tips.

Overview on room
I feel like a home staying in this room. The room is cosy, big and clean. Air-con and wifi is very strong and comfortable.No uncessary log off. There is a small sofa area and also a big LCD Screen TV. There is a bath tub in the toilet. The only bad point is not alot of socket for charging phone. A small make up area. Everything is nice and cool. Lighting gave you a very nice ambience.

Overview on the internal look of hotel

This hotel has been around for a few years already.It still look quite new and ok and also it have a total of 5th storey. The external of the hotel look very cool, posh, trendy and elegant.There is also makan place and convenience shop opposite and near by the hotel. There is also habourbay mall so is very easy access.The lift was also nice, cool and style.

Breakfast
I never try, so i have no comment on it.

Summary & Rating
For that price, you get quite a comfortable room, i think is very good already. Got chances will stay there again. Reception was friendly and can communication in many languages.

PRC gers in btm wld then be considered 3rd grade then.SG 2nd grade.

Ya,wat u say quite true. Not reli easy to look 4 a decent job in btm. I didn't believe it until i saw their listed job vacancy ad,even u & i not qualified bcs most employer only wan age under 30 yo.

Imagine u & i burnt our every assets in SG in the fire & cm btm w no $ & then convert our pink IC to indo 1,i tink we will go crazy man.

We in tis forum also doin boss of tis forum a favor through our posting to build net traffic so the boss earns $ frm advertising. I had a diff experience staying at M-One Hotel

My room cost 450000 superior twin during hari raya
The room was very stuffy and air con very weak. Keep sweating and even at night during my sleep.
The WIFI is almost non existence, I have to keep going down to the reception area to use the wifi at the lobby seating area.
The breakfast was terrible with only a few selection. The portion is like a plate of fried noodles and it looks pathetic. You dont feel good at all.

Maybe we are just unlucky. But comparing previous hotels I stayed, M-One is the worst experience. The only good thing is M-One KTV and Pub is just below. Seafood restaurant nearby and ferry terminal across the road. Other than that.... haizzz

I have a similar experience in Batam. Based on what I heard from them, almost all cewek in joints work there because "invited" by friends who were working there before and found it good. They went to Batam to do that and well aware of everything.
But there are certainly different cases.

One girl in **** told me, less than one year ago, that she went there because her friend invited her to come, saying that it was good to make the money she desperately needed. But she did not explain her that the job was sex.
She did not like that kind of job, but the problem was that someone advanced the money for travel and accommodation. So she was not forced to work: they simply offered her the option to work with other girls as the fastest way to return the money. Of course, she did not know how else to pay it back, if not working with other girls doing that. After 2 weeks of booking, she paid back her debt, but at that point she kept on doing it for a few more weeks, to earn some additional money for her needs at home. So, not really "forced", but certainly the girl had not many other options, once in Nagoya. I stress that the joint always let her the option to leave at any time.
(happy or not, she made me VERY happy that day. I gave her a good tip)

My great friend, who I met for 2-3 years and now is back to kampung, was initially sold by her auntie to a bar in Tanjung Unjang, when she was 18 or even less. Her auntie promised her a work in a restaurant or something. She was really forced to work there, prisoner, no way to escape. After some months, she became pregnant and found the way to escape back to kampung. Her family took the baby and sent her away because of the shame (note: the shame is on the girl, not on the auntie). She went back to Nagoya, and of course she did not find anything better else than working as FL in disco for a few years.

I heard also from another girl, but I had not enough confidence with her to trust her, that she went to Batam years ago to work, but then an auntie sold her to a brothel in another island (where?? I don't remember) for very little money. She managed to escape and come back to Batam, but of course she found nothing better than doing ST in Nagoya.

So, it happens, but I would not really say that this is the norm, as the bullshit claimed in many TV documentary reports.
