Better finish my CNY 2020 Batam trip post before making the following ones,hehehe...temple visits repeats during then.

Notice its all quiet during this visit?

I lighted up the spiral incense (100k rupiah each roll or pack) in my parent's name. In hope they can live a longer good life...

Took one of the above, to go to the altar to pray 1st...

...before asking one of the caretaker guy light it up.

Note that money is NOT given to any person there but is slot-ed into the donation box meant for the respective temple.

And then one of the the caretaker will hung it up.

...it will look something like the photo below after its been hung.

It will continue to burn for dont know how long. But well...i didnt ask becos i chose not to know.

This temple is a little under-visit. I have future plans to bring many more aunties and uncles to this temple.

And to the other one too.

Not too far away from each other tho,hehehe...of course, i didnt forget the God of Wealth temple as well. Its also not far away.

Next year 2021 when i am in these temples again, they will yet have another fresher outlook (most were still under some sort of renovation/renewal currently).

I am cutting down my frequency on bringing people to Tiban Tua Pek Kong (水口大伯公), Windsor Tua Pek Kong and Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Buddhist temple becos they were "well-to-do" enough popular temples in Batam and most if not all people would know how to go there on their own already,hehehe...my donating rupiah, along with those from uncles and aunties would be of lesser value.

(Note : Its a free will donation without obligation to those respective temples)

In Batam now, its pretty dead.. went to my fav food stall it was closed... then went sri kendy .. mama wanted 1.3 mil so passed as no syt's

Will have another look around tomorrow... pretty tierd from my escapades in Jakarta... lots of Syt's there...

Found 2 decent spas ... 355k all tips included 2 shots plus useage of facilities..

The green box you see above is 3ply mask going st 220k rupiah per box. Those in pink packing, consist of 10s per pack cost 10k rupiah a pack.

The cloth type in between the 2 types, i never ask.

Aunties and uncles bought some.

I didnt buy any, becos i just helped my neighbors who were in their 70s claiming that they couldnt find any mask, to buy 100s of 3 ply at S$40 in Singapore online market (they pay for it, not me) few days ago. Hehehe...per piece is S$0.40 in Singapore. Batam is at S$0.44 now (where i find it) or S$0.30 for 2 ply.

The price of mask is really crazily high now. The elderlies dont believe in words like "wear a mask ONLY when you are sick" and wearing a mask DO NOT really prevent one from getting corona virus as much as one who is not wearing it. So i need to switch my approach with them,hehehe...wear 1ply or 2 ply mask when they are not sick but if they are SICK, wear the 3 ply one,hehehe...if they ran out of 3 ply, use 2 pieces or 3 pieces of 2 ply mask instead.

Perhaps old one gone, new one will emerge. (Formosa Residence may be called Formosa Residence and Hotel,hehehe...)

Lots of staffs there will be out of job.

No more Alishan KTV, no more King MP anymore.

As a matter of fact, i knew quite a handful of 3 stars hotel were retrenching their staffs (due to lack of tourist becos of the corona virus thingy).

My Formosa Gold/Silver card would soon become antique,hehehe...i have 2 of it.

RIP Formosa Hotel.

Yeah a Girl was telling me there was big issue/fight at Alishan KTV .. and that it closed down a week ago and that the hotel was closing down as well

If not wrong... shop name should be HongTi hv move to Pasir Putih.

I went to that area to have a walk in my last trip too (during beginning of February, i think).

I wasnt planning for a meal there but more of just walk walk see see.

Anyway, i pass by the Vanilla Hotel's ground floor which sell Durian,hehehe...

Learned something that day, in Indonesia Mao Shan Wang （猫山王）goes by the name Musang King,hehehe...

Further down towards Windsor Food court is a stall that sells coconut fruit which is at least 10% to 15% bigger than a basketball.

When i reach Windsor food court, a temple well hidden away caught my attention...

Hehehe...it has no front door.

Recce that area several times, including Hai Hai 2 hotel but wasnt able to find that Hong Ti coffee shop. Its drizzling on that day, i thought i might have missed it, hence i walk another round using different route.

However i saw the changes in Permata Indah. Used to be Batam biggest overnight KTV booking joint with the most number of girls, but later after its closure, it became something else and eventually today left with nothing.

Dust to dust, ashes to ashes.
