rang = try my best to do something.
nan = lazy
"mai rang di lam, ko co nan" = tomorrow I will try my best to go to work, cannot be lazy.

Bro, check with u ... I ask my OC she say rang is = this job is difficult but have to work till complete which is same as endure.
nan-I am wrong but i recall asking her its not lazy but something related to some thinking issue...
but anyway yr language power Good! Thumbs up
I think what she said was also correct, but you emphasized too much on the "till complete" part when you translated it.
In fact, "ráng" is only used in the South. In the North, people use "cố gắng", so basically these two words have the same meaning.
As for "nan", I think "laziness" is also a type of thinking issue ma. But if you like, you can translate it as "reluctant" . It is probably more precise. I translated it as "lazy" simply because it sound like 懶 in Chinese
What is OC by the way?

Using Malay translation as the transitioning language and then translate malay to english
rang, co gang = cuba (Malay) = Try one best (English)
nan = segan (Bahasa) = dont feel like doing (inertia) because of laziness or shyness
Hope the abv helps
