my interest to ktv girls lie in other than (but also including) the physical: i am interested in their background, seeing the (wicked) world through their eyes, their gfe (i fantasize that it is real sometimes), that they are part of a constantly fascinating sub-culture (ie ktv/entertainment), enjoy marvelling at what hides under the facade of youth is a deeply mature, sometimes unfortunately too jaded core, im attracted to their sadness, i also take some pleasure basking in my own melancholy therefore i find the book so interesting .. a intriguing complement to the physical trips to ktv having said that i also have frens who are in it purely for the physical .. hey, everybody's psychology is different..

---------- Once I was singing songs at a karaoke bar with two hostesses and two clients. The two hostesses, Hua and Yeh, had just returned to Dalian from Shanghai and were invited by Liu and Li to sing songs with them at an upscale karaoke bar. Hua and Yeh invited me to come along. At the karaoke room, Hua rested her head on Liu’s shoulders and kissed his cheeks and lips; Yeh was sitting on Li’s lap and put her arms around his head. Hua and Yeh each selected some romantic, melancholic, and sentimental songs to convey their feelings for Liu and Li, respectively. While Hua was singing, she was so deeply engaged that her tearful big eyes were gazing at Liu, soulfully and affectionately. When Hua and Yeh left for the restroom, Liu and Li sang high praise for Hua and Yeh’s sincerity, purity, and devotion. They told me that they trusted these two “girls” because they were “truly devoted friends” (gou peng you): When we traveled to Shanghai on a business trip, we were not familiar with the locale and did not have any friends there [rensheng dibushu]. We had the phone numbers of Hua and Yeh on us because we used to play together in Dalian. So we tried calling them. We did not expect that they would receive us so whole-heartedly. We went out to a karaoke bar drinking and singing together throughout the whole night. We drank so much that none of us was sober. We talked nonsense to each other, we exchanged the most personal and intimate stories with each other, and we laughed at our stupidity and funniness together. We really appreciate the two girls’ accompanying us in the outside city [waidi]. We were especially moved by their care and consideration when they bought us four boxes of cigarettes before our departure, knowing that we love cigarettes. Four boxes of cigarettes! Both Liu and Li got so excited that their faces turned red. “They are true friends, indeed!” they claimed. “Ever since then we have always cherished that memory in our hearts. We can never forget their care and devotion to us.” At the beginning, Liu and Li apparently did not expect much from the hostesses because, in their words, they only “tried calling them.” I suspect that they thought, or to be more exact, they were afraid that the hostesses Performing Love would take their previous relationship only as superficial play. After the two hostesses demonstrated their intimacy, love, and devotion through a series of performances in Shanghai, the two men’s hearts were melted and completely moved. The fact that the two felt dislocated in a strange city could also have played an important part in enhancing their appreciation of the hostesses’ performance of intimacy and warmth. In any event, the relationship now became such a “deep play” that both men felt responsible for the two women. In other words, Hua’s and Yeh’s commodification of intimacy and devotion bore its fruit. For Hua and Yeh, however, Liu and Li were no more than another two clients whom they could benefit from, not only temporarily but also in the long run. In fact, Yeh told me that she was thinking about opening a small restaurant selling duck neck meat because she witnessed how hot (huo) the business was when she traveled to Wuhan, a southern city in Hubei Province. She was confident that her business would be very successful in Dalian, not only because no one had filled this niche in Dalian yet, but most important, because she did not need to worry about the source of her customers. Her client lovers such as Liu and Li were countless in Dalian and would no doubt form a solid customer base. She said, “They will not only come themselves, but also bring their friends.” Her commodification of intimacy and romance earned her not only men’s trust and affection, but also a wide social network that she will be able to capitalize on whenever she needs it. In the coterie of the hostesses, the leading discourse is about how to get the most out of men and give the least. It is taboo to talk about emotional involvement with a man without being compensated. This is inexorably denigrated and ridiculed. For instance, everyone was gossiping about Lili, who was supporting her boyfriend with the money she earned at the bar. She was despised and ostracized from the group. When she was in financial straits, no one was sympathetic and no one was willing to loan her any money. When she was finally abandoned by her boyfriend, everyone was ruthlessly straightforward with her: “You asked for it! It was all because you have been spoiling him with your money! Now you know where it leads to! Now you have learned your lesson!”

Some how I find that there is more ppl in CP then last time when I came during CNY... But still, there is a shortage of gals in KTV, even MF also break for 2 days. YH is open thru out. Not sure about rest as lazy to check them out haha There is gals in CP, just that many are not working. Also the gals say business very bad, they rather take a break also during theses period. Those without KC, regular... Sure die cock stand... Cause even SN is close, not all but most of them.

 Dear Brothers, Chinese New Year is around the corner. The new year is a time to reflect on the year that has passed and spend time with family and friends as we welcome the coming year. It’s also a time to forge closer ties between our communities, with all of forum members enjoying a celebration that has come to play such an important role in our calendar. Looking back to 2013, I am manage to forge a deepened friendship as well as fruitful events, such as launch of the Mega party, exploration to Wuhan Ouya, Dongcheng SSGC Ktv and Tangxia Banshan Ktv. These are only a few of the examples chosen from the many services that I had strived and pioneered in 2013. Chinese New Year is a also a time to start afresh and experience new things. btw bro,
something to side track alittle. something i notice when i am in cp during Jan. 1. Yellow Taxi seems easier to nego for a lower fare e.g. 15rmb. this is confirmed by a green taxi driver who said their rent is higher. 2. Qian Zhu ge the one near Lion Hotel is moving out on 31Jan. Their operation will be shift to other 2 exisiting location. Walter Hotel and another i dont know. 3. Pzl getting too pushy for card and 加钟. massage is so-so 4. HTML hotel rates promo offer the best value for a 5 star stay
