I was told that New Century is closed already.

The place with dancing girls and pretty waitresses is Ho Guom Xanh and NOT New Century. New Century only have waiters that looks like gangsters who will try all ways and means to cheat u of your money...for eg:
1. They take ur payments and never come back with ur change until u really chase for it
2. they never gives u any receipt.. bcos those beers u drinking are their own personal (waiter's) stock.. does not belongs to New Century.

Those FL's in New Century are overly commercialised and have Fat and ugly Mamasans who thinks they are so clever and trains their girls to dig money from all the un-suspecting foreigners.

Try to avoid that place and stay out of trouble.

Thanks for the info. We were there for 1 night, spend maybe about 1 hour there and proceed for supper. Dont really like that place. Crowded & loud music, many shake head too.
Too bad, try twice but could not locate HGX. Will try during next trip to Hanoi.

Bros who want to go KTV in Hanoi, the best KTV where lots of pretty syt gers are found in Fortuna Nite club located in B1 of fortuna hotel....

Niteclub starts at 7pm early as the action will ends by 12mid nite as required by viet laws.

The best if you stayed within fortuna hotel as when u ta bao (booked) her u dun need to pay USD65 for the room.

Trick is to cheong this KTv at 7.30pm to 8pm to secure a good looking ger. once u like her indicate mamasan to let her sit down, there is a testing time of 10mins if u dun like jus tip her 100k dong and ask mamasan to change.. hope this will help...

For ST, there is a no hassle place to go, it call To Ngoc Van which I have written some reviews quite some time back. If u interested, I will take u there. I have PM u my contact number already.

Damage: VND350~400k
Tips : VND50~100K
Total damage < VND500K

The place is like that ; a local hotel.. u get in and go up the stairs.. many girls running around.. u grab one that u like, drag her into the nearest room, take a shower and take ur time. Its sort of like Cat 40 of Geylang but no 20 mins time limit, however I think its 1 hours time limit, which in most cases should be sufficient.

Without any doubt, Fortuna Boss KTV is truly the best Ktv in Hanoi with the most pretty girls. However in terms of Bang-for-the-buck ratio, its pretty LOW. In lay-man's term, its quite costly to cheong at Boss KTV. Cost analysis done in early postings.. for example, u will be set-back by about US$50~80 before u take the girl to ur room (which is another US$60~80).

For bros who wants to go straight to pay and eat the fish, this is the way to go. But for bros who enjoys fishing in deep sea, there are many many other much better and fun alternatives. For example, at local Ktv, its quite good chance of meeting someone interesting that can go back with you for anything like US$20~US$50 or even free is she likes you and you said all the right things(can be done with some training). And also a 3 hours session at such a joint usually sets you back by only US$15 (assume 4 bros goes and split the cost, this includes 3~5 beers each person and own room with good sound system and remote control to select ur own favourite songs).

The other thing about those gers in Boss Ktv.. they are quite commercialised.. surely they can speak English or Chinese a bit, but they will be using that skills to talk to you more about US$.

FR on local KTV

Last Friday, just me and ThunderPriest.. both of us went to a Local Joint KTV (for bros who needs details of that place, pls PM me. bcos now the authorities are doing various crack-downs and everyone is quite cautious)

Started the first song at 2030H and was joined by 2 more bros within 30 mins and by 2130H we had 7 cheongsters in the room liao.. including 4 Malaysians, 1 Sillyporean, 1 American and 1 Viet.

My dear American friend was singing Viet songs better than the vietnamese themselves and the rest of us booze and squeeze as usual. The girls at this joint are quite service oriented.. if u do not squeeze them, they will squeeze you ;-)

I manage to get a tall girl.. quite a nice girl who is totally amused by my silly behaviour and eventually the next day she even asked me out for coffee. I told her to meet me at Sofitel Plaza and when she arrives, she wanted to go straight to my room (thinking that i stayed at that hotel) but I just told her that I am not that easy type and I just wanted to go coffee with her. That is usually my trick to get them.

Anyway, back to the KTV session, nite ended at 2330H (3 hours) and summary as follow:

Damage for room and beers and songs : VND850K
Tips for girls : VND100K each (for 3 solid hours of service and not butterfly system!)

I agree with dep. I ever went to Boss KTV in Hanoi.
We spent more than US$100 per person and get nothing.
The ger sit with you, have to pay by per hour, excluding tip (US$20).
Need to spent alot of money before bonking.
Unless you are a rich man and have no where to spent.

In HCM, in the local KTV, you spent US$70.
At least you can get a bj and 1 carton of beers.
By the way, the gers in the local KTV really a very good drinker.
