I can find some info and i had try a couple of them (La Thanh) and written some FRs,...but will like to get some update on new places or exciting/interesting places to check out instead of the usual joints at the two hotels. Any advice? thanks!

In summary, you can find professional relief in Hanoi in three categories. They are (1) Massage parlours, (2) KTVs, and (3) Freelancers.

Massage Parlors
In general, you don't get a full service experience in massage parlours. Best you can get is a handjob, and on rare occasions, a blow job. Good massage parlors are Esalen (on Nghi Tam), La Thanh hotel, etc. Sakura is not bad, but a little expensive. If this is your fancy, I recommend you go to the more established ones (like Sakura), and work your charm on the massage girl for after hours delight. However, VN skills required.

KTVs
3 categories of KTVs. At the high end, would be Fortuna and Hanoi Hotel. Nice looking girls, can speak *some* English and Vietnamese. No extrement hanky-panky in the room, you'll need to nego for after hour work fun. Fortuna does allow you to take the girl up to the rooms in Fortuna hotel during the gal's working hours (you need to tell mamasan in advance). Downside is can be expensive.

Freelancers

Last alternative would be pimps. Around 11:30pm when 17 Saloon closes, there are a couple of them on motorbikes out there waiting for people to come out. They'll ask you if you want girls, and will typically cost about upwards of 800K. You ride pillion and they'll take you there.

Cautionary word - I sometimes hesitate to write all these down because unless you are familiar with Hanoi, you may get into trouble. Foreigners are generally safe in Vietnam as the local cops can't cover up crimes against us. However, as in all things, play smart and be safe.
