Just want to contribute my bit. Just got back from hcm last night. Here's a quick update on the situation for old timers and some info for those planning first visit.
Billard bars along ha ba trung: closed
Bennys and my tien: half open (seriously standard dropped by 200 percent... My tien moved to another location, someone should pass u a card at the old location)
Motor pimps: still exist but quantity and quality also appear to drop.
Ba vi Korean quarter: a few shops still operating, standard somewhat still there but my fav gal no longer there (sobs)
Discos: still as usual but more frequent checks now and not easy to come to overnight agreement.

For those planning first trip there, fun can still be sought buy not as easy and plentiful as before. . . Best bet and value will be ba vi IMO. Actually it's quite easy to hook up with locals there and develope from there but you need time and patience...

For those planning first trip there, fun can still be sought buy not as easy and plentiful as before. . . Best bet and value will be ba vi IMO. Actually it's quite easy to hook up with locals there and develope from there but you need time and patience...

-dont think there is any saloon in district 1 that charge 80k-120k for entrance..and dont think the gals are gonna let u step out of the saloon for a 100k tips.

i have receive many PM asking me for the location of the cafe,sorry pals,i will not give out location of places which is meant more for local unless i do know the person before hand..i have posted the reason sometime ago..yesterday i tips the gal 16k and i receive a big smile from her,i would not want her to give me a sulky face the next time i tips her this amount again.

u guys might say i am stingy..but i gotta protect my own playground as i am here about 340 days a year.

the location of former Liquid is now occupy by 2 outlets..Trung Nguyen and Embassy.

there are many "smart alex" nowadays....as all cafes has free wifi,they will usually chat up with the gals using translator apps...and then what will happen....they will try jio gals go out and thinking that they have a chance of bedding the gal at night...tips of 50k-200k will be given to a cafe gal..

and my 16k tips on future will makes me feel low class and stupid..

so best is dont give add and protect ownself..

hmmm it seems like Ha Ba Trung billard bars still closed from ultraboy999's report. going to hcmc again this November. Gonna miss those billard bars, anyone know any similar bars around the city?
