Even those above average income indos like to come SGP to shop for clothes, shoes blah blah, coz they feel here "quality" better. And if you ever go batam on a sat night or sunday night, U will see how pack the ferry terminal is with all those returning indos. The number of "rich" people in Batam alone is oledi alot, in terms of having extra cash to spend onhand. Just this week on a weekday I was caught by surpise when I run into Pasific's boss at Parkway Parade. And dun forget batam is the transit place for indo officials when they visit the riau islands, they won't miss coming over SGP.

By the way, when does this fasting month start (exact date). If I go to a joint to pick up the WL and thereafter do nothing in terms of going out of the hotel (makan room service), is there a chance that the self-professed "holies" will come knocking?

I feel feasting month no problem finding food at all, compared to CNY. And during fasting month many hotels have break fast packages, some can be quite nice. And you can find alot more snacks around in the late afternoon just before they break fast.

honestly i dont go rapid fire since i passed 40
now 50 plus...i go for quality
that means one good shot instead of multiple normal shots
good shot means not only me will exhausted ... she will too
so far my activities there beside bonking during younger days till now are..
visiting relatives
play basketball
play football
play pools
play bowling
fishing
watch football live
eat seafood
karaoke
disco
shopping
tour
etc.

Genting group is strong in bringing visitor from cruise, because they own few cruise isn't it? However, I maybe terribly wrong. Here, batam, many funny news can be heard, isn't it, Pak P?

You will be surprised at the rich RIAU people who uses Batam to transit to singapore. Alot of the islanders are rich people, for your info...

The airplanes that comes to changi airport is from Medan, Pekan, and Jakarta... These region, rich comes to singapore via changi, the rest, comes here by boat thru Batam. Due to fiscal tax. Which is cheaper via ferry, and cost is lower too.

I think you heard the news wrongly, the cruise are the ones going to Marina Barrage, if I get the news correct in Straits Times some time ago.... Due to congestion. Also, the gambling boats( long jie) collects passengers from Harbour Front too, and transit at Batam before going to the ship( long Jie).

Alot of these players( long jie) are aunties and old people who has nothing better to do. A MRT to Harbour Front is fastest, compares to Tanah Merah Ferry.

Overall, Batam is still a transit place for many Indos and also a place for Singaporeans to go there to have fun. To cut the ferry from HF is a most stupid thing to do economically, and does harm to Maple Tree investment( if I got the info that vivo is under M tree), and makes no sense to underutilise the MRT built there.....

Tanah Merah is too far out of no where and have no shopping malls for people going there to take the ship.

IMHO, the ferries are in Harbour Front to stay.....
