I personally know at least 2 of such real life "fake old bird" who cheong batam for more than 5 years,but when they stand at the direction of Formosa facing Nagoya Hill Mall,they didn't know how to get there when being asked to. Ask them anything abt direction or places in Batam,their common reply is often "don't know" or "i must ask my driver" type of answers.

These are the group of self proclaimed "old bird" who needs to take a taxi from Formosa to Nagoya Hill Mall while walking there takes less than 5 mins. Change money at Nagoya Hill Mall from their "exclusive" money changer for 9100/SGD while i follow advise from real old bird of this thread to change opp Formosa at 9200/SGD back then. During then,my "fake old bird" friends take taxi from Formosa to Nagoya Hill Mall for 30k to change 9100/SGD (from their exclusive Money changer) while i walk across Formosa to change at 9200/SGD within 1 min. They change S$600 while i change S$200. They go to Nagoya Hill Mall,Hyper Mart to buy their daily necessities while i bought mine from behind Formosa provision shop. They take taxi go Queens to book 2 19 year old girl at 1.2 juta to 1.5 juta respectively while i walk to Gold Bird to book 1 20 year old girl at 900k.

Conversion from Sin to IDR makes indo money very small and at times too small an amount to make any substantial saving,so I walk from point A to Point B not just to save,but more towards understanding the changing surrounding and learning the direction of places i visit.

1st timer also not necessary will get carrot head. It depends on the characteristic of the person. 1st timer usually don't know what to spend on. So their interaction with "sellers" are lesser. I still follow my own guide on my signature till today and i usually spend less than S$200 (include room,exclude ferry),even tho i keep asking 1st timer to bring S$300 (excluding ferry). Reason is i do not know the character of the person following my guide,and S$100 spare is for any "just in case" situation and for newbie to "make mistakes" for the 1st time. Just refrain from making same mistake again during 2nd trip.

I had my 7th trip to Batam on 5th Aug 2014 and back on the 6th. This time round,my indian fren again cannot join me,but i manage to learn quite a bit on VOA becos of him even when i don't need to.

In this trip,i took a 1045am Prima Ferries ferry from Sillypore Harbour Front to Batam Harbour Bay. As it was raining,the ride on the ferry was a rough one and the ferry was 90% full. (i don't like crowded) Upon reaching Harbour Bay,did some basic shopping on daily necessities at Harbour Mart in Harbour Bay before approaching to book my next day return to Sillypore at the Prima Ferries Counter. After stepping out of Prima Ferries,was approached by some uniformed guys (who worked at the Bay) to ask if i need Taxi,they quoted 60k and when i ask for 40k,EVERYONE LAUGHED at me. Got pissed off by their laughter and walk away further down towards shopping mall where i was approached by a REAL taxi driver who are not in uniform.Manage to bargain to 30k to bring me to Kaha 1st then to Formosa. But i still tip him another 10k upon reaching Formosa Hotel.And he seems happy about it. So my taxi trip cost 40k in all and i need a taxi becos it's raining.(i'd have taken ojek) One lesson i learned from this trip,whenever i got approached by anyone who is in uniform in my future Batam trip asking if i need taxi,i will either reject or ignore them.

Reached Formosa abt 11am indo time. Try to check in but my room i reuested for isn't ready. I actually booked 2 rooms,1 for my fren who is coming later. Both rooms aren't ready,so i walk to opp Formosa to change money and after that to Kings Massage on the 4th floor in Formosa for a foot reflexology at 90k/hr.

This is the 1st time i am having foot reflexology in Kings Massage w/o being on a massage Chair but lying on bed. I was told to strip my bottom half while the girl do the reflexology. About 30mins later,she pop the Golden Question,which i think wasn't exactly a golden question. It's not a HJ she is offering,but according to her is Therapy Dick Massage. Was quoted 200k,i didn't bargain cos i don't plan to take up anything "special" as i was just killing time for my room/s to be ready. After the foot reflexology,paid the counter 90k and tip the massage girl 50k for her effort/attempt to "try to" make me take up the special service...lol.

Upon checking into my favourite room,i called Gold Bird (1230pm) and they are open.By now,the rain has almost stop so i take my time to walk to gold bird to pick a girl. As usual,pick the biggest,ugliest and oldest available girl,pay papi 600k and request him to send the girl to my room at 3pm. Before leaving,give papi a small green packet containing 50k in it. Left Gold Bird to Nagoya Hill Mall by foot and manage to find Kopi Luwak cafe. I choose to dabao the coffee and walk to behind Relax Massage's food court for Lunch and enjoyed my Luwak coffee there. Relax Massage is directly opp Formosa.

After lunch,take a slow walk back to Formosa.Before heading to room,i walk behind formosa to buy some mineral water and red bull. The girl arrived at 3pm,had one round 1st while waiting for my friend. Went online to SBF to check any PM and saw Bro Madara's reply from our previous communication.I heard from Bro Madara there is a new booking joint in town,and where is that? The place is called Dolly Massage....

Upon linking up with bro Naka in the early evening on the same day,i learned that Dolly isn't a new joint. Memory KTV opp Panaroma has closed down and reopened as Dolly Massage. Bro Naka even bring me there to look see. It was near to Utama Hotel,and even nearer to a Ass Hotel....opps! No,no...sorry,it's S Hotel...i manage to recce around its surrounding and below is the Map to S Hotel,and then to Dolly booking joint. (Dolly & S Hotel is at bottom left hand corner)

To save on Taxi commission (or kena carrot head),one may ask the taxi driver to drop you at S Hotel. What i did was walk into S Hotel,take a name card from them and walk out. Turn right from the front door of S Hotel and walk straight along the five-foot way which takes abt a min until i reach a right-turn corner and then i turn RIGHT...and then continue to walk straight for about 1.5 min,and i see Dolly sign board and front door.

There is wifi there but it din work. So i surf the channels on tv while waiting for the masseuse and one of the channel is hardcore porn. I don’t believe cos Memory KTV business is always good. The DJ and the momi are very friendly. The gal standard is good with some very young and pretty SYT. I have booked some beautiful ceweks before and got 2 chinese there. 1 is from Sulawesi but unable to speak Chinese dialect, can speak a few words in mandarin. Can only speak bahasa indo or a little bit of English. Look 9/10 very fair and pretty.

I have enjoyed a few years there before the gals booking fee started to escalate to Rp800 to 1 juta. It is really sad to hear that (if) one more good KTV is closed. Sigh……

I will have to visit Memory KTV on my next visit. Hopefully it is still there…..

From what I learnt the 2 Bosses for Memory have some problem with money issue and they go separate ways, so now most ex-Memory gals follow 1 of the Boss who open the new joint Dolly. The exisitng Memory gals cannot make it when I visited them about a month ago, but maybe that is during Ramadan now may have new gals, do update if you happens to go there.

I can relate to your experience & I hate that too. But that time i go to Relax Massage for foot reflexology,it was the Aunties & Uncles from Singapore who spoil the atmosphere by talking loudly in hokkien as if the room that was shared by nearly a dozen belongs to them only.

18/04/2014 we disembark at sekupang, hired a personal driver to drive us around looking for a hotel to stay.....yup my friend was over confident that we'll get a room at any hotel on Friday afternoon.....we went to several places but no room so we end up at cheap bahari hotel, not bad, not a luxury but clean enough. Take note, if the room is cheap; always check the room 1st before you take it......tick is no joke, if you end up bringing tick and infesting your room, you have to throw away your furniture and buy a new one to replace. After we check in we went out for dinner, nothing special....after that we went to a spa called Bali Tropical Spa, when we reach there I was a little disappointed because I saw some couple there, which is obviously a clean spa, nothing special or plus plus......but the massage very good, so for bro who want to get rid of their spouse for a good 3-4hr of facial/spa; this is the place, so that YOU can divert to somewhere else. Damage for the massage is rp588,000. To me it's ok, it's a learning trip to familiarize myself to batam. That warung outside the spa has a good ayam penyet, and it's only for 15,000.

The next day 19/04/2014 on the other hand is a different story, both my friend wanted to try octopuss or Delta spa because last Christmas Delta spa was closed for holiday or was it renovation. They decided to try delta spa because it closer. When we enter the place a receptionist explained what's in store, which is just clean stuff, once we agree to it she gave us each a key to a locker for us to change to a short and a pyjama. A guy in charge of the place ask us if we want to use the facility or go straight to massage? Well, since we never know what jacuzzi and other stuff are for we just go straight to massage. So he bring us to another floor to be greeted by a SYT GRO with a very short skirt, this time she explained to us a more detailed menu that was on offer....if we take a 1 or 2 sesson package they will only massage your back but if you take 3 session or more they will massage your back AND front....which front she didn't mention just back and everything infront, so I took the 3 session.....It was worth it, the massage with eucalyptus oil and hot stone was very good, they even step on your back which is fantastic, any bone that doesn't crack during the massage earlier will crack when the back is stepped on, although ear candle was just nonsense, the masseuse was young, good and professional but I don't like her because she was a little strict.....not interested in small talk, the hand job is very good, I've never been hand jobbed this good before, my cock stiffened like rocket and the sperm shoot like a projectile.......after we're done, the masseuse asked if I Want the ear candle, after looking at her face; I think ok la, I'm definitely not going to tip her anyway, who want to tip a sour face? I visited atlanta yest after my terok time at newton as per fr above. In case you dunno how to go, it is opposite novotel hotel. From novotel, look out for a circle k opposite the road. Atalanta is in the same blok as circle k but u need to walk into the alley and it is in the middle of the row.

There are deluxe(or called executive, can't rem) and vip rooms available if you want private rooms. Vip room is 370k for 1.5hrs, deluxe I can't recall, prob 250k or so for 1.5hrs.I did not ask if 1hr or 2hrs packages are available as I always take 1.5hrs. I think there are cheaper packages available but I did not scroll thru the menu. There are some rooms with only curtains as partitions and those are probably the cheaper ones. U can go scroll the menu at the receptionist. I took the vip room, it comes with a urinal and bathtub, quite spacious.

Once u confirm your package, she will give u a key to locker upstairs. Payment is after massage. Before u reach locker, a male attendant will change slippers for u. U will then go to locker but I din use the locker at all la. U can use the facilities at this pt as u pass thru the jazzcuzi and sauna. I proceed straight to the massage though. It was abt 7pm on a fri but not many pple ard, in fact I din see anyone else. U will come to another holding area where there are some pcs to use and there are some trays ard but I did not probe if food is available la. There is a counter where they will ask you if u have any preferred masseuse by numbers. I just take whoever they sent me and so far, it has been quite good. My masseuse yest is 25yrs from central java. I was surprised by her level of english, turns out she is a university graduate, used to work in office in jarkata. Slim and pretty face, but boobs is a small A, definitely not for bro newyorker! Massage is only slightly better than piano type, I have gotten pretty good massage there before though. She wore a very short skirt as per all other masseuses there but I was fooled by the super pushup bra, npt that I mind small boobs la. After sop massage and teasing, pop golden qn. I ask for services and price, and if she does fj anot. She says fj only sometimes, it depends. I ask her how abt this time, and she shyly said ok. I didn't know ceweks there will reject fj service if price is right. Maybe she wanna appear more hard to get la. She ask me how much I wanna give, and after abit of nego, settled on 600k. She does seems to be not very experienced in this trade, but gfe to max. Overall I will rate 8.5. Oh one thing I forgot to mention, she ask if I have condom with me. I ask her why, she say she to go outside take if I dun have. If she take from outside, boss will keep record that she provided fj service and will take a cut. Anyway I have one in my wallet for rainy days like this.

No need worry,depending on your budget. Usually 1st timer i will advise to bring S$300 exclude ferry ride.I don't know your situation cos you didn't specify it clearly but booking taxi driver for whole day usually is abt S$35.00,and Hotels below S$25 will get free insects,eg crocoaches ,mosquito type and no lift from 1st floors to other floors. S$30 and above is a bit better...i stay around S$50 above type of hotel.

After making yr 1st trip to Batam,your next trip will be much lesser. Reason,everyone has a different character and ways of spending money,and only on 2nd trip you will know what you REALY wish/want to spend on.
