Come to hong kong!!!

Of late, visitor numbers from the PRC has gone down drastically (And WHAT? How come the number of you Singaporean visitors Y-Y has gone down by 39%???!! You don’t luv us no more?!) and hotel rates has gone down correspondingly, especially for the 2-3 star ones/Guest Houses favored by mainlanders; nowadays, you can even get rooms for as low as HK$200, (of course a tiny dump, but….) and if the visitor numbers keeps dropping down…..!

What with the continuing crack-down in the Mainland, perhaps it’s time for you to look at mongering in Hong Kong. I herewith update/repeat what I had previously written here as right now, the information is all over and a summary may be useful. I am by no means thoroughly versed as to what Hong Kong as a mongering destination is all about, as I live a mostly Vanilla life when in Hong Kong, but, I do once a while quietly sneak off and errr…. “partake!”

Like any large metropolis, Hong Kong has different types of mongering activities and even within the particular type of activity, lots of variations.

- Wanchai: Along Lockhart and Jaffe Road and bounded by Fleming and O’Brien street, Wanchai is primarily for foreigners not able to speak Chinese (both local expatriates as well as visitors). Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, some S. American, Ex-soviet State etc. providers abound and Domestic helpers part-timing, especially week-ends when they have their day-off, can also be found. Do avoid those bars on Lockhart Rd with Red velvet curtains blocking eyesight into interiors as they are hi-pressure rip-off bars. Wanchai’s Kowloon counterpart (albeit lot less!) is Hari’s bar at the Holiday Golden Mile and the few bars facing the harbor at Tsimshatsui East – but many of these have also been “gentrified.”.

- 141 walk-up girls: One girl one room set-ups offering a quick, economical and quite safe release. Mostly staffed by permanent Hong Kong Identity card holders as there are raids against visitors illegally working whilst on visitor’s visa. Just go to the building, knock on doors housing a 141 gal, politely negotiate or decline and off to the next one until you find what you’re looking for. I would recommend this method as your first choice for mongering in Hong Kong –WYSIWYG, very easy to accomplish and value for money. And if you are persistent/patient, you should be able to get some real gems!

- Hotel Walk-in/Honey/Young Buddy girls: Can be daunting for visitors as you need to navigate via their handlers who mostly only speak Cantonese, requires a portable phone with a local number and can be a painstaking process. Mostly well trained and better looking/younger PRC, and even supposed Japanese, Korean, Russian girls on tourist visas, housed in 2-3 star hotels which you need to go to, although sometimes you can negotiate for overnights at your hotel for 3 times their usual rate plus taxi.

- Saunas/spas/massage parlors: As there are laws against organized prostitution, sexual services are NOT a given and you need to do a bit of dancing around; some easy to do, some more tedious/costly some just not available. You will see in many advertisements wordings like “Non-sexual service only” but this is mostly just a smoke screen in order to avoid legal problems. The larger spas are staffed by mostly local MILFs or rather disappointing looking younger providers whilst in the smaller ones, you may get lucky and stumble upon a younger/prettier provider; but please don’t get your hopes up too high.

- KTV’s: A true shadow of its former glory as KTV partying decades ago started going up to southern China with its cheap prices, great selection and quantity of girls etc. Nowadays, only a few tired over-priced places in Tsimshatsui, some real dumps in Mongkok that’s nothing more than a place to choose/go upstairs with disappointing girls (akin to a BBS type operation) or some small but very expensive places in Causeway Bay for the Hong Kong based Japanese or Koreans.

- Escort services, websites etc. : I’d really discourage you from even considering using this means to get your jollies; caters strictly to the meek or lazy visiting monger and thus you can expect only way over-priced and low quality providers.

- Street walkers: From Hong Kong’s lowest priced girls walking about specific parts of Shamshuipo and Mong Kok to the PRC gals in the open air plaza outside of the Regal Kowloon – although this place has of late been sort of cleaned-up and these days, they are more likely to only show up after midnight. You get what you pay for – but as with all street walkers anywhere, I do advise caution, and of course do be careful with your possessions etc.

- Freebie action: Whilst of course do-able anywhere, main venues are in Lan Kwai Fong/SOHO in Central, Knutsford Terrace in Tsimshatsui. Locals do well in the small clubs and restaurants - lots upstairs in multi-storied buildings in Causeway Bay and Mongkok.

There are a few useful websites to check out selection as well as to glean information from its forums (English or Chinese) – just GO and search 141 or 161 and you should be able to easily find these sites.

Enjoy Hong Kong, play safe and spend more!
