Wahhh you asked me such a deep question, how to answer you?
Makes me wonder, there are 11 months in a year which are safe and fun to cheong Batam, why so many people must wait till this only 1 puasa month and take the risk of either being high n dry because of no "entertainment" during this period, OR, kena caught by Polisi while cheonging and they asking you for their "year end/hari raya bonus"...:confused:

Even those massage joints had to be closed. Not sure if the traditional ones were affected or not. Cuz i saw a few of the clean ones in Nagoya still closed on Wed......

ya i just came back on 16 of sept massage,pubs,karaoke all close.even i went to nogaya food court cant see any fl.....waste my trip and time:mad:

Latest update, the news paper said that the local authority is allowing those entertainment spots which are within the hotels, to stay opened. For example, Planet karaoke/KTV rooms are allowed to open, but not the disco hall.
But then again, I don't know this piece of news can last for how long cos they keep changing rules like underwear... :D
