An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
If Singapore gets into a conflict with Malaysia, Indonesia, China etc, the PAP government can quickly pass a law to allow MINDEF to call up reservists above 40 years of age. The law will also allow MINDEF to call up foreign talent over 30 years old.
Imagine being mobilised to go back to your army unit and see CECA talent being mobilised (and paid their civilian pay) only to find that the CECA talent don't know how to handle a rifle and will most likely keng. If not keng, out in the field...
