SUBANG JAYA: She was slashed, battered and sexually assaulted. Adding to the injury and abuse, she was stripped of her clothes and dumped by the Subang Ria lake to die.

Fortunately, several early morning joggers heard her groans and moaning and immediately traced the 32-year-old woman.

They were shocked to find the naked woman lying in a pool of blood by the lakeside.

Her left hand was fractured and she had slash wounds all over her body.

Some women joggers immediately clothed her while others used their cellular phones to contact a nearby medical centre, the police and an ambulance for help.

The police arrived six minutes after being informed of the incident and the ambulance arrived about 30 minutes later to rush her to the Universiti Malaya Medical Specialist Centre where she is reportedly in a critical but stable condition.

The victim managed to tell the police her name and to give her family’s telephone number before passing out.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Rashid Abu Bakar said the police tried contacting her family via the number given but could not get through. He said they would question her when she regained consciousness.

It is learnt that the woman is from Penang but lived in Seremban, from where she is believed to have been abducted and brought here.

However, the woman told the police she could only remember there were three men and being found by the joggers by the lakeside.

Compared with Singapore, Malaysia's crime rate is definitely much higher but I am not sure it is because Singapore has such a low crime rate or because Malaysia's crime rate is high, if you get what I mean.

However, the fact is, crime is getting worse and the security situation in Msia is deteriorating compared to previous years due to two major factors:

a) Inept and totally CMI police force. If you complain about Singapore police got nothing to do, wait till you see the Msian police, got tonnes of work but dun want to do.

b) High numbers of illegal immigrants and low quality foreign labour plus unemployment among the youth (especially Malay youth). Well, no $$$ to bonk commercial wl mahh ... so hav to gang up n rape girls loh ...

Sad but unfortunately true.

bro, I must clarify one thing though : the no of crime perpetuated in Malaysia may due to the fact that Malaysia is definitely much larger than Singapore and not as easily regulated. On the other hand, I must agree that the police in Malaysia is more inept than Singaporean ones and they tend to advise the victims to just go home and relax rather than be more concerned. Though such advices may sound impartial and non-personal, I think the police also know from experience that certain crime may not be solveable due to lack of leads and that the no of crime perpetuated may be so high that it become a norm in Malaysia and hence they assume people must just get used to it... it is a sad case really but something that a hundred things that has transpired in the past has made Malaysia the state it is now.

I would very much love to stay in Malaysia as my relatives, friends are all there... but circumstances such as these are really a put off to continue staying there :(

And about the Malays (pls no offence to our Malay bros, this is referring to only those few lunatics out there), its one thing that they have not enough money. Its another thing that their religion forbid such an act that I think made some of them become more restrained and wanted outlets to exercise their sexual desires... just my 5 cents opinion, of course may not be true..

For complex cases where it is hard to solve etc. I totally can understand but the Msian police is so bloody f**ked up tat taking police report they oso lazy to do.

I m not just anyhow say say one but this is based on my personal experience n based on experience of ppl I know directly.

If I want to list every incidents I knw I think the whole sbf database oso not enuff, so I'll juz list the top 3 in my list:

1) My cousin's car got hit by lorry. The lorry juz drove past very fast n knocked off her side mirror. She chased the lorry down and demanded the driver to pay for the repairs but the lorry juz ignored her n drove off. So she lan lan no choice but to make police report becoz the car is a company car. Reached the police station, the policeman manning the counter gives her all kind of shit;
"Aiya, small matter only wat, y come make report"
"So wat, u want me to arrest the driver, aiyo, how much he makes a month? U so rich, u pay for the repairs urself lah" etc etc...

In the end, the policeman charged my cousin RM 25 juz to type the report for her or else she type it herself. She so angry, she dun want to pay and decides to type it herself on the spot while the f**kin police go drink kopi. Then, finish typing the report, she kena f**k again becoz they nd to take photos n she park her car some distance away. The whole fiasco took her one whole afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm. Reached home, she so pissed off that she decides to leave Msia and become PR in Australia for good. Can't blame her though ...

2) I grow up near this police station in KL. I wun say which one unless u pm me. But it is not a small police station, it is a neighborhood headquarter with hundreds of policemen with accompanying living quarters. And juz behind this station within walking distance, is an Indian slum where the drug pushers sell heroin and the addicts take their shots in BROAD DAYLIGHT without covering up (as if they are selling baking powder). Last I know, it's still the same, hasn't changed a bit for 20 over years or maybe more. Wat the hell, are those policemen in that station doing ? Walking distance oso dun want to go n catch and some of them live there somemore ...

3) Numerous bribes and kopi-o money for all sorts of f**kin excuse they can think up abt ur car or ur driving or simply juz ask u to stop aside at a roadblock n make u wait long long until u cannot tahan n pay up. I rather throw my money into the river rather than pay but lan lan bo pian sometimes when need to rush off somewhere. Lucky not medical emergencies, otherwise died oledi. Toking abt medical emergency, got another incident tat pissed me off as well but I leave tat for next time.

Anyway, for Singaporean bros that want to go shopping or cheong in Msia.
Things are not really bad until u confirmed kena rob or rape everytime u crossed the causeway. Just be extra careful and keep to well-known and familiar areas can oledi. Or get a local to guide or drive u around loh ...
Msia is still a great place to go shopping (becoz things r cheap n petrol oso very cheap) and even better place to cheong (lsbs, discos, health centers, spas wif beautiful girls, dun worry the triads would look after the security of the place. In fact, the triads do a better job at this at least for their premises n businesses).

Just bloody pissed off as a Msian. Dun want to bad-mouth my own country but it pissed me off so many times oledi.

One of my best buddies is a well known tech reporter for the Star paper, and every now and then we'll talk about whats going on across the causeway. He was just in town recently and over a beer we were bitching about the f-ed up systems in our respective countries. Still can vividly remember him saying that as a Chinese Malaysian, he feels really helpless because of the system. He loves his country but yet is unable to anything due to the fact the political system is so corrupt and even the opposition parties are beholden to other interests to the extent that it is unlikely the civil service incompetency will ever get resolved. As a Chinese, you can't complain to the authorities as they will just politicize the issue along race lines no matter how valid the complaint is.

It's common knowledge tat non-bumi (non-malay) Malaysians are being marginalized in their own country. The so-called Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) which is supposed to be the main political party championing the cause of the Chinese is nothing but a group of eunuchs and mute dogs. They only know how to take advantage of their own race and fill their own pockets.
Meanwhile the opposition parties are unable to present a common front and a good development plan to convince the masses that they are capable of effecting changes.

It's no surprise that most Msian Chinese either:

a) give up and leave for other countries

b) bochap and make do with wats available as much as possible

c) join the crooks themselves

I took option (a). Rather be second-class citizen in a foreign country than second-class citizen in my own.

Talking about the Malaysian police, I think this was the ultimate:

A know of a fren's fren who's a Malaysian Chinese holding a SG PR. He went back to JB (his hometown) for a short break. He drove his old (18 years old) SG car in but pay attention to this... His car is an old manual car with a faulty 4th gear. The 4th gear can't be engaged. Thus, the max speed is about 60km/h.

He was droving around town in JB when he was stopped by a TP. He was told that he was speeding at 80km/h at a 60km/h road. He was bemused and told the TP that it was impossible but didn't explain why. The TP wanted kopi $ but he refused... Since he has the time to play with him, he quarreled till he decided to take his case to the police station...

At the station, there was this senior police officer who sides the TP and told him to pay up the fine. Refuse to beg down, he warned he'll take this case to higher authority. Thinking that my fren is playing dare, the senior officer put on a brave front and said 'be my guest'. He took down both the officers name and ID, then explained that his 4th gear was faulty and it cannot be engaged. Therefore, it's impossible to speed at 80km/h. He challenged them to drive his car and if they can get the car to travel at 80km/h, not only he pays the fine, he'll give them RM$500 each...

Hearing this, my fren can smell pee in the officers' pants... The senior officer was almost begging for mercy saying it's a misunderstanding and other crap...

For us, we had a gd laugh over a cup of coffee... :D

This is not all, when he was leaving the police station, he heard the senior officer telling the TP off to open his bloody eyes and don't anyhow chop SGreans. They thought he's a SGrean and don't understand malay... Sigh... :(

As a Malaysian, I myself also shame of some useless government servants, most of them really pissed us off!! Laziness & corruptions are two of the common weaknesses found on them, since the days when Bapa Malaysia (T.A.R) scolded them. After 5 decades, have they changed?

Now that the whole nation is speculating the GE (General Election) will be held latest by end of March2008 (to avoid Anwar from entering GE), the government started to feel the pressures! I think we, the voters, should teach them a lesson or two!

Guess what!? One of my childhood's dream or ambition, was to become a policeman! Wondering what will I be if I really take up the challange as a policeman!?!? But now... I would say : "Luckily I'm not in the police force!"

Let's wait and see what will the government come out with, to fight crimes in Malaysia!? Malaysia still Boleh kah?!?

Yeah, you are quite right.

We Singaporeans are sooo used to the efficiency here that we simply do not know what to do when faced with problems in other countries cos we instinctively expect that we are treated anywhere like how we expect to be treated in Singapore. Hmmm.. does that sound right? Kekeke..

Anyway, someone I knew just passed away due to an accident in JB. Apparently, her injuries were severe but only restricted to one of her arms but she bled to death because the ambulance was so slow and they made excuses that traffic was bad and it was like fasting month (don't know true but what I think I recall my friends saying lah). Although I believe our deaths are all written and destined, I was quite angry when I heard what had happened and that possibly she could have been saved lah.

Anyways, lots of my friends who came back from places like Vietnam and Cambodia complain till no end. I figure most of them just can't accept the idea of different worlds and the concept of some countries just are still like stuck in the 50s, ie. third world.

It is just plain ignorance that we automatically expect everything in this world to be perfect and that everybody is supposed to treat everybody else the way everybody expects them to but at the end of the day, what will we learn? How do we better ourselves if not for challenges and adversities?

Yes, I emphatise with people who are marginalised because of race but I think many of us have done the right thing, that is to take the problem into our own hands and help ourselves by solving them rather than continue to suffer and blame others. That's why I look up to my Malaysian Chinese friends who have taken the plunge and migrated either here or elsewhere.

Read the newspaper this morning. PAS hopped onto the bandwagon and warned not to allow Singapore to participate or invest in the IDR because they will lose johor like how they lose Singapore. The fact is that Tunku kicked SG out of the Federation and not they "lose" it. They dont want Singapore.

It relly gives me the shivers... despite all the things done by the ruling class elite government people, the common malays are still very ignorant and very supportive to the govt... not a bad thing actually but its one thing to be loyal and another thing to be ignorant... I was travelling in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago and talked to a Malay taxi driver. He was very friendly and explained to me the various sights etc as I was gawking at some of the new places that was up like The Gardens, and PAvillion etc. I mentioned that there was some sort of strike going on in one of the district and even another demonstration by lawyers in Putrajaya (both of which went up in the newspapers) but the taxi driver immediately denied it. He denied that there was ever any strikes in Malaysia, Malaysia is a place for people to sit down and have discussion. He just shut up on me about it. I feel sad for him and wonder if his eyes were opened, what would he think then.. :(

Girl claims rape by dad and uncle

JOHOR BARU: After years of hiding a horrible secret, a 12-year-old girl finally confessed that her own father and uncle had been raping her since she was nine.

She had been afraid and ashamed to tell anyone but unable to bear it any longer, the girl told all to her counselling teacher who questioned her as she suspected something was amiss after the girl began slacking in school and was always seen with a forlorn expression.

The teacher took her to the Skudai police station where she made a report at 12.50pm on Tuesday.

The victim claimed that her 61-year-old father and 53-year-old uncle had been taking turns raping her at their home in Felda Bukit Batu, Kulai, here since she was nine.

Johor Baru (North) OCPD Asst Comm Ruslan Hassan said that police have picked up the suspects and are currently conducting investigations.

“We have also sent the victim for a medical examination.

“Initial investigations revealed that both suspects, who work as Felda settlers have no prior records,” he said.

Meanwhile, in Pasir Mas, a Form Three student from Kampung Tendong has lodged a police report alleging that her father had been raping her since she was five years old.

She said in the latest incident, he had raped her last week just after she completed her PMR examinations.

The teenager, 15, overcame her fear of her father and confided in her student counsellor after she started feeling nauseous and became afraid that she was pregnant.

The counsellor coaxed her to make a police report on Monday. The next day, her gardener father was picked up for questioning.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim alleged her father had raped her for the last 10 years and she had been too afraid of him to tell her housewife mother who had no idea this was going on.

A district police spokesman confirmed the incident and said the girl has been sent to Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II for tests to determine if she was pregnant.

Anyway, to be fair, if we look at the statistics, the percentage of ignorant and less educated Malaysians are much higher than Singaporeans. Have to respect the education system and judicial system here, people here are better educated and fears the law.
