Still possible on case by case basis...... but very rare to get approval for new operator licence nowadays. Easier to transfer existing licensee.

That was 20 yrs ago..... now requirements are different critera.

Back then I would have been eligible to operate a legal house if I had wanted to...... but my application will 100% be rejected now due to the changes in critera.

I heard that no more issuing new licence , but licence can be transferable .Those illegal okt stable whom tio raid tio caught frequently might had a higher chance to obtain or even given a licence to operate Orkui keng in GL:D
At least that's how it works in the older past .

From my hazy memory, the gov seems to intend to rezone the area for many years. I am also quite keen in obtaining a Brothel licence, till I gathered the factors surrounding this area. It seems that the golden era of the Geylang area might be long gone (around mid 2000s). Besides the disappearance of streetwalkers, are the insane human traffic (talking about way before COVID). Now the only main traffic are foreign workers.

Also, according to the link below, many brothels left 60 years on the lease. Coupled with the current lockdown on them. Any existing licence transfer should only worth about maybe 2/3 of its value. This is just my layman opinion.

Another layman's view of mine. From my understanding, many brothel operators rent the properties. Hence, I believe the rental rates are intertwine with the properties' value and should be adjusted accordingly (not hoping for a huge discount).

I believe the source of gals are controlled. Back during the good old days, it was traditionally only Malaysian WL. Back then during the early 80s there was an influx of Thai gals...Clifford Pier was a paradise for men..raids were quite common but they kept coming back..so how our gov keep a lid on their activity. Give them a permit to work here as WL...then think back to the late 90s and early 2000s, we were invaded by PRC FL, again the gov kept a lid on them by giving them license here to work as WL..

So now we have Viets WL too, who knows maybe Pinays are the next approved source..

From there, either you learn how to set up a mobile app or pay someone to set up one for you. Market the app over here, free memberships or small fee. 100 dollars per hour.. minimum 4 hours... 25 percent commission to the company.....
