An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Looking for alternatives to putting money into savings accounts with pathetically low yields that can't even cover one quarter of the annual rate of inflation.
Amount available is above SGD 100,000 but below SGD 2 million. Security of principal, being able to withdraw funds at any time (say to invest in stocks when market conditions turn favourable) and higher yield than pathetic savings account) are the primary goals.
Any recommendations and suggestions?
