There is no cure for viral STDs. Only bacterial STDs can be effectively treated.

If you catch Herpes (HSV1& 2) and have continuous outbreaks the costs will accumulate each time you have to visit a doctor for prescription anti-viral medication which shortens the outbreak.

Same applies to genital warts (HPV) if they keep recurring although usually one to two treatments does the trick.

For bacterial STDs such as Syphilis, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea all that is usually needed is a couple of visits to the doctor for antibiotics. However if you are unfortunate enough to catch a strain of Gonorrhea that is antibiotic resistant to the usual arsenal of drugs then the cost of treatment can rise dramatically as doctors will have to experiment with various alternatives until they find one that works.

It is impossible to give an upper limit. Each case is different.

If you have been screwing around for some time you probably already have Herpes and HPV but you could be part of the majority who have no symptoms so you don't know you're infected. :p

If that is the case then the only future costs you are likely to incur will be if you are unlucky enough to catch something else.

I am always surprised by how incredibly patient and helpful you are answering the noob health-related questions. :D
