Wondering how many of the members here have reached a mutual understanding with their married partner within the context of the new monogamy.

The new monogamy is the recognition that marital attachments involves a more fluid idea of connection to the primary partner than is true of the ‘old monogamy’. Each partner assumes that the other is, and will remain, the main attachment, but that outside attachment of one kind or another are allowed - as long as they don’t threaten the primary connection.

Basically is a happy marriage still where you eat your outside food and I eat my outside food without the unnecessary tension.

Basically open marriage? Been around for awhile, still very far from mainstream tho, majority still can't c them able to go thru it, I do know several couples doing it, tho the wife is more conservative in exercising her "rights", crazy stuff imo, I can't imagine how any sort of attachment n commitment could still exist between them under such arrangement...
